My Dr says the liquids are important because of the added pressure on your stomach after an adjustment. You don't want to eat anything that may scratch and cause bleeding or an ulcer.

I am always very gassy after an adjustment, could that be your swelling? I keep Gas X strips in my purse and usually two will do the trick.

Good luck!

Hey Heidi... I just had a fill on Wednesday and Dr. Wizman just changed to 2 day of liquid after a fill too... the reasoning being that it allows more time for the swelling to go down after the fill. I am definately tight but I can get liquids down and I think it is getting a little better in terms of what I can actually get down...

my doc tells me two weeks of liquids after a fill! I think he is just extra cautious. I must admit...I have never stuck to the two weeks thing. I usually go 3 days...then very gradually add mushies to see how it feels. One thing different though...this is supposed to be the fill that brings me close to the sweet spot hopefully. I think I will proceed with great care. I sure don't want to end up in the emergency room for Christmas.
