  1. AMEN !! Yes the people here are great even when they are giving tough love! I've been to another band hating site also.even when they were encouraging others they were saying mean crap about the band !! I agree this is the best site ever !!
  2. YAY !! Congrats !!
  3. AWESOME ! Thank you for sharing !!
  4. Amazing !! Can u post this in the success stories forum :-)
  5. Ok so I didn't know the band was supposed to "work FOR me" I thought it's supposed to ASSIST me as I do the work. I'm only eight weeks banded so I won't be offended by a pat on the head from veterans.but I went in for my 2nd fill last week and refused it.my doc said most people he has to talk out of the next fill cuz usually they want magic 5-6 lbs weight loss all the way to goal.I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week yes I get hungry but I changed my snack options cuz the band can't do that for me.instead of dorritos and a snicker ,it's protein bar or fruit (usually) like everyone else I'm human so I don't always make good choices but I don't blame the band for that.it's not a brain band.when I came back to this site earlier this yr.there was a post by someone saying the band failed them because although he eats smaller portions and can no longer eat a whole pizza in a sitting ,He had recently ate a whole pizza over the course of a day so my question is how is that the bands fault that u chose pizza for every meal? any way maybe my story will change in the future but I feel like it's assisting me.I'm not at the green zone but I do feel a little resistance.if I stop losing my 1 LB a week I will get a fill. I know that it's not for everybody but I believe that most of the people complaining are not doing their part if they are honest.I never expected the Band to work FOR me.but I feel like having it in even with little resistance had helped me change my mindset for me to work it.

  7. WOW !! Great job !! I didn't measure inches I may start.:-)
  8. WOW ! I have to be honest I didn't read it all.I'm reapply sorry u went through all of that but it seems like u have a fresh start.and coming to this site will be a great help.I would say just try to stick with the basic band rules 1.no more than 4-6 oz of food at a sitting 2.Protein first ,then veggies then carb 3. Chew chew chew 4.eat slowly but no longer than 30min per meal. 5.utilize the site read and ask Good luck !
  9. Protein protein protein(chicken fish protein bars) !! That's the only thing that worked for me.u can do it good luck !!
  10. My doctor said " no matter what u read online vomiting is not normal ! If u do vomit get to my office immediately !" I have not had that problem but glad for the warning.vomiting can mess up the band.See ur Doctor immediately.
  11. I Never cheated ( whistling ,avoiding eye contact)it happens to the best.
  12. The iband is pretty new with no long term studies (which is one reason I didn't chose it) but with Lapband, bypass and what we know of the sleeve the initial weightloss has different rates(Lapband being slower) but the 5 yr mark is the same.at the end the the average weightloss is the same with all surgeries.
  13. Weighed in at 309 that's 2 lbs up but it's " my time" which usually is 5 lb gain so not worried.good luck everyone.
