  1. Welcome Olivia! I have been a member for a year now, but been on the site only about 3 times. I was banded in November 2010 and can eat very few things. Meatloaf, salad, pasta, etc. It has done be good so far. Yes, I would get food stuck all of the time, but that is because I wasn't "listening the the band" (as my surgeon likes to say) to let me know when to stop. I would suggest eating slower..take a bite...put your fork down...wait a few minutes to see how you feel...then take another 1-2 if you feel ok. It has taken me 10 months to learn this and I have NOT been stuck in about a month now.
  2. Hi, I don't frequent this site as often as I should, but just wanted to say that in the 10.5 months since LapBand surgery I have been able to lose 96 pounds. I am hoping to reach 100 pounds lost in the next 2-3 weeks...and before my 1 year LapBand surgery anniversary on November 3, 2011. Wish me luck!!
  3. Not yet, but after 10.5 months I have lost 96 pounds. I should be at 100 lbs. lost within the next 2-3 weeks. Yippe! I always wanted to do it within my first year (November 3rd) and I am almost there.
  4. Thanks GingerJane! I just thought I would make up a name and embrace the fact that I am fat...but I won't be one day
  5. Thanks for the welcome and well wishes...and I like that "Journey" Why thank you
  6. Hi everyone. I am new here. I have finished my 3 months of weigh-ins and attended the seminar. I meet my surgeon on October 7th. Ready to get this show on the road :smile2: I am still new at this, so any advice is welcome.
