Hey girls, I was banded Sept. 27th and I worried. Because I've only lost 20 pounds. My Dr. used a 10 cc bad and I have had one fill of 3.5 cc but I have never had any problems. I know I should be happy about that but I want to lose the weight faster and I really don't feel like I have any restriction. How fast are you losing?

I went to Dr, Rodriguez, in Monterey Mexico, Sept 27, 2010 about 4 weeks ago and I was plenty scared but I knew 3 people that had been to him so I just closed my eyes and prayed. Everything went very well! I found fill centers USA about 30 min. away from my home in a small hospital. I went today and it was a very good experience. I had my fill a little early but the Dr. only does this once a month and I didn't want to wait another 4 weeks! I was very happy with the Doctor and the process. There were several other people there that had been other places that had other compactions because they had been to Dr's in the past who didn't use fluoroscopy. I would never do that it was well worth the $350 plus If someone referred you you’ll will get $25 off and they get $50 off! What a deal! You have to tell who referred you when you sign up!

Welcome Ravey Congrads! Yes I'm 59 and thats what I wonder too. it seems most are in their 20 or 30's My Date is Monday the 27th, Best of luck to you! I'm weighting 280 and want to lose down to 160 or maybe 150. I'll be pulling for you!

Are you still itching? I had a eye lift almost 2 years ago and about 2 weeks later I itched until I would bleed, I went to several Doctors and finely one gave me a lotion and a prescription Benadryl. I take it most of the time. How are you feeling? Your still on clear liquids aren't you? Hows that going?

Shellysmom are you or can you take anything for the itching? I'm having lap band surgery Next Monday I'm a little worried about itching. I did after my last surgery. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Oh Thanks Lisa for responding! No Sorry I'm not from Ca. I'm a Okie! and I'm going to Monterey, Mexico my Dr .is Arturo Rodriguez. I know one girl here in my small town who went to him. I'm going for lap band surgery next Monday 9/27. With Dr.Arturo Rodriguez Monterey, Mexico. I found one post where someone ask this question months ago and then they droped off the earth. So I'm a little worried. Did anyone ask their Dr. What kind of band they were going to use? Sorry I'm really new to all of this and need help. I've been reading all your post for several days and really admire all of you for being so helpful! Just trying to learn!

I'm a newbe and I don't understand from what you all are saying when I get my band net week It won't feel any kind of restrction. Thats scary to me because I'm having my surgery in Mexico and I'm not sure when or where I'll have fills yet.

I will be getting my band on 9/27 so I know what you mean about begining to question yourself but the way I see it you are the only one who knows if your ready or not. As for me, I only wish I would have done it 15 years ago. I'm so looking forward to having a tool to help me do what I want to do. Lose weight be healthy and feel better!
