I am getting banded on 11/2/10. I am so excited. I went yesterday to pre-register at the hospital and I am all set. Anyone else getting banded on the 2nd? If so, I would love to hear from you. Thanks

I also have Cigna. my plan also required 6 months supervised diet, sleep study, therapist visit, nutritionist appointment and a letter of medical clearance from my PCP. It took about 4-6 weeks to hear back but I did get approved. I will be banded on 11/3. Hang in there it will work out for you.

I am a November Bandster. I am having my surgery on 11/2/10. I am so excited as this has been a year in the making with all the requirements from my Insurance Co. I am ready for the next phase of my life.

I am glad things worked out for you. I know that the waiting game is the hardest part. I am anxious and nervous at the same time. Hopefully I will have my date next week. Take care.

Me too. I have Cigna and had to wait about 4-6 weeks to get my approval. I had to do the 6 mos supervised diet as well. I'm at the home stretch so hopefully I will be banded in Oct. Dr George Woodman (Memphis Tn) is doing my surgery. Keep me posted on your progress.

Hi, I am having my EGD on 10/5/10. I should then get my surgery date. Any fellow Tennesseans out there about to have the surgery that can over any support?:smile:

I heard that the Syntrax Nectar is good as well. Did you order yours online or were you able to find it at a local retailer? I hope to be banded in Oct or early Nov. I go for my EDG on 10/5. I had all my pre-op testing done today. I am so ready!!

I go for my pre-op testing today @ 9:30 and my EGD is scheduled for 10/5/10. I hope to have my surgery in Nov. Topazz my B-day is also Nov 13. So I also consider this my b-day present to myself. I have Cigna as well. It took me about 4-6 weeks to hear back. I got my approval last week and I go for my pre-op testing on 9/23. Be patient it will come!!!

I totally understand how you are feeling. I just go my approval from my insurance company. It took about 4-6 weeks to hear back. I go for my testing on 9/23/10. Hang in there, you should hear somehing soon.
