  1. I am 1.5 years post-op and I am just like you. I had plateaued a lot during this journey because I was not taking in enough calories. Although I was working out nearly 5 days a week and eating under 1200 calories, I was only loosing 1 pound a week. So I spoke with my doctor and nutritionist and they both agreed that adding a protein shake after my workouts would help with this and it has. I have since seen a huge improvement in my weight loss. I am still about 20 lbs. away from goal, but at least I am closer than I was a year ago.
  2. After 6 months I cleaned everything out, I only kept my favorite pair of jeans to remind me of where I started in this whole journey.
  3. I agree with the people above, but when everything is "back to normal" you should try a product called Green Vibrance. I mix it in every morning with my protein shake and it has changed my life. I have been "going" regularly since i started drinking this product. I also have some much energy, and I have even seen a change in my skin, I feel like I have a glow! I think it's because it is freeze dried vegetables and probiotics, all of the things i was missing before (being 1.5 years post-op).
  4. My nurse that does my fills says that it's normal to feel hungry when you work out a lot. Maybe spreading out your meals might help. Just remember to not go over the calories you are allowed for the day.
  5. I also needed to show that I was struggling with my weight for more than two years. I was then denied my first time because my doctors office messed up and did not write my weight on the chart for one of my visits. I also want to add that I was denied within two days. So I waited another four months and re-submitted my paperwork then I got approved. This approval took two weeks, I guess it takes them longer to approve patients for this procedure.
  6. I'm getting banded April 22, 2011 woot-woot!!!!
  7. You are not alone, I have done my share of crying too. The emotions that come with this life changing procedure are just overwhelming. It's good to let it out.
  8. I 've heard from other bandsters that papaya enzyme pills help with stuck food (it helps break it down).
