  1. Cograts... We have the same band day!!! Come on 21st....it isn't coming fast enough for me.
  2. Welcome... I am fairly new here also. I am getting ready to leave for my 1 hour drive to the hospital for my pre-op appointment. My banding date is Sept. 21st. I have also lost the ability to exercise due to the need for a heart transplant. My exercise is limited to just geting out of bed somedays! I do have a treadmill and manange to get in about 3 - 5 minutes most days. I talked to my pharmacist and found out which of my drugs can and cannot be crushed. After I talked to them I took thier recommendations to my doctor and made the changes I needed. Some pain meds are liquid. As far as if it is forever, I am not sure, but I guess I should find out. That might be important to know. Good Luck to you and God Bless:smile2:
  3. I am 2 weeks pre-op, but have been on the pre-op protien diet for a week now. The only protien drink that I can tolerate is the EAS carb advantage. I get it at wal mart. It tastes ok as long as it is cold. I cound not do any of the powder mixes. The one I buy is ready to drink. Hope this helps. Congratulations on the banding!!:blushing:
  4. I can say for myself.. I feel like CRAP!!! I am grouchy and irriatable all the time. I have a headache and I still have 2 weeks to go on this prop diet. I have too considered giving up. But we can't !!!! Hang in there. I know it is not going to be easy, but it will be worth it!!! I will be praying for you. I hope this helps you..
  5. I am 2 weeks pre-op and have already started cleaning ouit my closet. I plan to donate to local christian mininstry as I shrink out of them. I am however planning to keep 2 or 3 of my favorite t-shirts to sleep in or wear over swimsuit.
  6. I feel your pain. my date is 9/21. I told my husband last night we will be divorced or he may be dead before then. I am like some mad person. Don't really think it is because I am hungry, but I thinnk it is the resentment of what he and my teenage son are eating. By the way I am still cooking for them....Mu husband also said he was going to eat and drink only what I could have...that lasted about 5 hours!!!! Good Luck to you hope things go well.
  7. I am on day 7 of 3 week pre-op. I have done fairly well at sticking to the diet. I have had 1 bite of my husbands pizza and one bite of my sons grilled cheese. It is so hard to see them eating these foods that I have loved all my life. The thing I miss the most is Sub-way...but you do what ya gotta do.
  8. jakealta.. Is that all you get? My pre-op diet is : 1 pack weight control oatmeal....3 oz lean protien..2 cups raw veggies or 1 cup cooked veggies....6 oz yogurt... 4 oz. applesauce or 3 oz fresh fruit...and 4-6 oz sugar free jello.....2 -3 protien shakes a day....
  9. Good Luck to you... Wish mine was this week...have 2 more weeks to go
  10. My date is Sept 21st...so exicted. It has taken me a long time to get to this point. I am on day 5 of the pre surgery diet and I am starving!!! No...not really, I just think I am. Good Luck to all!!!
