  1. Im 9 weeks post-op and recently started working out to that Wii Active game. I've noticed after the work-out , which includes running, my port site gets reallly sore. I dont know if its the port itself or just muscles in the area that havent been worked out in a long time
  2. I have the first one and it kicks my butt.
  3. Im 3 weeks post fill and I feel like im eating waaay more then I should be. Weight loss is at a stop. I've only lost 20lbs in 9 weeks...Kind of discouraging. I have started working out (walking, Wii Active). .. I go in for my 2nd fill on 1/4/2011. My dr does fill's every 8 weeks. @ danarth.....I dont understand how you've had 4 fills already. Does the Dr do them whenever you feel like you need one????
  4. I too was banded on the 29th. I lost 14 lbs at my 6 week check up today. Seems low but I'm still happy. I had nothing in my band and had my first fill today. The dr put 5cc's in my 10cc band. Clear liquids today mushies tomorrow then regular food on wed. I need to exercise more but I just don't have the motivation
  5. So I was banded on 9/29. At 6 days post of I had lost 10lb. I started mushies yesterday and BAM this morning put on 2lbs. Please tell me im not alone and thats normal.
  6. You're my neighbor ....Im in Fullerton (near disneyland for those non-Californians). I work for a local police department. Was banded on the 29th of Sept, so needless to say im 3 days post-op, itchy and im not gonna lie, im a lil' hungry .
  7. I'm in the same boat. I had surgery yesterday but im forcing myself to drink the protien shakes. I think the pain is over powering the hunger
  8. I don't work in corrections but I work for a local PD. I'm taking 3 weeks off becuase of the whole duty belt thing. I dont want it to rub againt any incisions and irritate them. I have the sick time so im taking it. IM getting banded tomorrow @ 0730.. So excited :smile2:
  9. I'm getting banded on 9/29 (so excited) and i'm taking 3 weeks off. My job requires the unexpected (kneling, sitting, walking, getting up and down, helping people and if needed running like hell) so i want to make sure im FULLY healed before going back to work. I have the time and I'm able to take it off, so why not
  10. I cant stand diet coke:eek:, I was a huge Dr Pepper drink:drool:...I too stopped cold turkey. Had heaches for a few days and cravings for a few weeks but i never gave in. Its been 4 months now and I dont want it anymore. I get banded on the 28th. Woo hoo

  12. I got the Creamy Vanilla powder. Sooooo yummy like a vanilla milkshake. I can wait to mix in some strawberries and other fruit
  13. I found a protien shake at the Vitamin Shoppe. It's ISOPURE Creamy Vanilla.....It taste just like a vanilla milkshake. In 2 scoops there is 210 calories:smile2: and 50grams of protein. They have 10 other flavors i want to try. Cheers everyone! ISOPURE here is the link. And there are plenty of places you can get it from.. Oh and it has ZERO carbs :w00t:
  14. Ok so i've seen most people are doing the pre-op diet two weeks prior to surgery. My dr requires only a liquid diet the day before. Has anyone else only had to do the one day pre-op or did i "luck out" in a way?
  15. 16 days left Can't hardly wait... I want to now
  16. I get banded on the 29th. Im so excited to begin my band journey. I've been waiting 6 months since my first appt. I got everything prepared other then finding a decent protein drink
  17. Only 20 more days to go....I cant wait. Im so anxious to get this journey started
