  1. I'm having the same issue. My best friend who dated this guy for a week, just came over this weekend cause I had to be the first person she told she was pregnant. Which she was upset about and I had to try and be there for her even though I was sad cause its another friend I have to see have a baby before me. And I know its selfish of m but its so hard. I was really debating just giving it another try, but I'm only almost 3 months post-op and have dropped alittle over 30lbs but I still have another 70-80 pounds to lose. The sad part is the one thing thats stopping me right this moment is I'm getting married October 2011 and want to fit into my dress I purchased at a going out of business sale a couple weeks ago. So I totally feel your pain but both our times will come and when It does it will be perfect!
  2. This sounds fun! I'm down for the challenge. In for -19lbs. GOod luck everyone.
  3. So I was banded on Aug 31 and up until today I've just had normal pain with incision sites and the pain latest longer then I thought it would. But I also had a hernia repaired during surgery so not sure if thats why. Today I went for a short walk and was fine. THen this afternoon when my step daughter out riding her scoo ter as I was walking with her the pain started and it was a very sharp and uncomfortable feeling , that comes and goes. I think it maybe be port pain?? I wanted to see if anyone had same pain, before I called the doctors on the weekend. I'm going Monday to get my staples removed. I'm hoping the pain will be gone before then because I can't take it anymore. Thanks in advance for any advice or thoughts.
  4. Banded on Aug 31 2010, 8 days post-op. Have lost 23 lbs since start of liquid diet on August 21st!~ Good work everyone!
  5. Thats funny I was just at Target and bought the Pure Protein cookies N Creme and LOVED IT! They also make a protein shot that is grape flavored has lots of protein!
  6. Thanks everyone for the many choices, I will have to try them all!! Last night I tried unjury and it wasn't so bad.
  7. Hey All! So I'm 5 days post-op and I'm having trouble finding a good Protein powder to use. They all taste so gross. Anyone have one they really like?
  8. I was banded on Aug 31 and I have experienced lots of gas pain in my shoulder and chest. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest and I get this feeling like I need to burp but can't. I've tried gas-x and it doesn't seem to work as well as others said it would. I'm hoping by tomorrow it will be gone.
  9. I was banded on Aug 31 and I've felt horrible since. Yesterday was better and today is worse, I thought my staples came undone today but I think its just the area where my port is and its sore. I'm not able to eat much and I know I'm not getting anywhere near the amount of protein they want me to have. I live off of carnation instant breakfasts, oatmeal, cream of wheat, popsicles and broth. I start classes on Tuesday and I'm hoping I will feel 100%..I didn't think after 5 days I would feel so gross.
  10. I'm getting my Band on August 31 and I'm hoping to try to get pregnant after 6 months or so. I've been trying for about a year and I really hope its just the weight making it hard for me to have children. Does anyone have any advice about how long to wait or how it affects the band?
  11. I have also only told a few people. I think I'm going to keep it like that until I am more comfortable to start telling people or maybe I won't tell anyone else who doesn't need to know. So if you want to keep it with just a few people knowing and thats what makes you happy do it!
