  1. I have been a little bad, I must confess. I had a couple of the mini candy bars on Friday, and Saturday then last night and today! I only had one or two but I really wanted more! I know I am getting ready to enter "that time of the month" which is the hardest time for me because I want to eat everything in site! I know I was bad for eating it, but I have been doing well, and I keep thinking I'll just have to walk an extra 1/2 mile tonight! I just have to remember that everyone has a time when they get off track, and before my surgery I wouldn't have rebounded. But now I am diffrent and I will get right back on that track! So for those of you who have "cheated" don't fret and freak out, get right back on that track and keep going!
  2. I am so glad I read this today, I really needed it! I am 4 weeks post op today and I am SO HUNGRY! I have also noticed that I can eat the full 6 oz of food and still not feel satisfied. I went to dinner last night for my anniversary and had 1/2 a salad with dressing on the side, 4oz of very moist steak, and 3 shrimp. I was full but I didn't have the pain in my shoulder I probably should have had and I felt like I could have eaten the rest of the steak! I have an appointment tomorrow for my first fill, which I am so glad for! I have still lost weight, down 13 since surgery and 54 total. I just feel like I am spiraling down and I am hoping that my adjustment tomorrow will help!
  3. HI! I am so glad I came across your post! I am 3 weeks post op and this week I can start incorporating softer foods. Yesterday and today I have been wanting to eat everything in sight! There were brownies at work, I would have eaten the whole plate but I cut off the corner chewed it up and spit it out. It sounds sick but it was so helpful and I didn't hate myself after! I know that my relationship with food is a sad dependent one, and I am trying to break it. I would love a loaded pizza and a huge burger NOW, but I know that they just taste good and they aren't going to make my life any better! Keep your head up and know that when you get on track you are going to feel great and you will look great! GOOD LUCK!!!
  4. I was banded on August 31st and I have had a pretty easy recovery. Except for the fact when I was on my pain meds I woke up and ate some popcorn! I feel fine I was just a little bloated. Anyway, today I have a headache, and I just feel funny. I feel tingly, if that makes sense, and I swear I was having mild hot flashes. I know I may just be worrying about everything, I even looked up the symptoms of blood clots and I don't have any thank goodness! I know I am fine, the whole weird feeling thing has just freaked me out a bit! Anyone have any funny feelings like this?

    feeling weird....

Thanks Jeff2Ang, that makes me feel better! Hang in there, I had to wait about 6 months, it was hard but I did the assisted weight loss and lost 41lbs before surgery. It made such a difference!

    feeling weird....

Thanks! I called the doctor, his nurse thinks I need to drink some prune juice to see if that helps with the bloated feeling. She also told me to drink more milk which tasted like heaven! Hopefully this will help tonight!
  7. I have also had some pain in my shoulder, but Gas X strips are helping. I woke up this morning pretty weak and felt like i couldn't stand, I was a little scared but once I drink my protein shake I felt so much better! Walking has also helped me with my energy and the gas! Good luck!

    Post-op Cheaters

I am 5 dayd post op and I had a little cheat last night. I had taken my pain medication (so I was a little out of it) and ate a little kettle popcorn! I scared myself so much that I don't think I will cheat again! I am able to keep liquids down (haven't vomited at all) but I was really bloated which I guess could be from surgery! Anyone else cheat with popcorn? Thanks!
  9. I get banded in the morning too! The shakes weren't too horrible, but my cravings were! I will admit I cheated with a bite here and there, but all in all I did pretty good! I have lost 8 lbs so far, I can't wait to weigh myself in the morning (at the hospital) to see where I am! Good luck everyone!

    Day 6 of Liquid Diet

What about during the liquid diet? I have made a couple of slip ups, granted I have already lost 34lbs before I started the liquids and 10 since I started. Isnt' the point to loose a certain % of weight so your liver is smaller?
  11. I have been on the liquid diet since August 17th and I have only had little slip ups. I had a couple of instances where my blood sugar dropped and I had to eat something. I must say when I have slipped up it was from eating protein or veggies so not too bad! My surgery is August 31st!!
