Hi, my name is Ree and I live in Australia. Three and a half years ago I had lap band surgery done due to my health. When I first seen my surgeon here in Australia I weighed 562lb (255kgs) and I was told that if I didn't lose the weight I would die. I had the surgery and I have since lost 330lb (150kg) and even though I am still not at my goal weight my whole life has changed for the better. Mentally it was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life and I would have never achieved what I have without the support of my doctor,  family and friends. Before the surgery I could hardly walk, had severe sleep apnea, had diabetes, no self esteem what so ever and was so depressed I would only leave the house when I had to. So much more has happened in my life since the surgery and I will discuss it more in time but I will say that having the lap band surgery done was the best decission I have ever made.
