    Curves???

I am 12 days post op, and have been walking, but that's about it. Does anyone go to Curves, is it helpful? What can I do for now? I am worried about my port, even lifting the laundry basket kind of hurts. I live in a rural area, no place to really ride a bike (although I did ask for one for Christmas) even to take a decent walk I have to drive someplace. So whats the opinion out there, Curves, YMCA, or Zumba? I would appreciate all thoughts, home equipment is not an option, right now.

    August Rush in bandland!

My surgery was don in TJ, by Dr. Almanza, at the Jerusalem clinic. So far so good, no gas, heartburn, nausea, or vomiting. I did however have a reaction to the nylon stitches, and the original adhesive, they put over them, that is slowly healing but it doesn't look pretty. I am trying to gat an exercise program going, whats working for anyone else, I'm thinking about Curves and/or Zumba. I am afraid of any lifting yet, my port site is really tender and sore. I've only lost 15 lbs. but old habits die hard.

    swelling

My stomach is very swollen and bruised, anyone know about how long until the swelling subsides, was banded 5 days ago in Mexico. Everything else going well, no nausea, no heartburn, and very littl gas. Had a half a scrambled egg on Friday, and a couple bites of shrimp and rice yesteray, all with no problems. Just curious about the swelling. Thanks

    swelling

You are right about fluids, but I'm soo hungry, I've been very careful, and trying to stick to jello and yougurt, but old habits die hard, thanks for advice though it's always good to be kept on course.
  7. It's only day 5 for me, but I think it's really hard, maybe the hardest thing so far for me.

    Are You Telling People?

At first I felt just like you, but then I realized my friends and family love me fat, and they'll love me skinny. I knew I would need their support. Besides when I'm successful, I would love for others to know how I did it and why I made the decision to have lapband it may save them too. I respect your decision, but I figured word would get out anyhow, so why not let people help.

Is there something wrong with me?

Hello, I am new to the site, and to forums all together, so still learning to navigate. I am more sore than you have been (surgery last Tuesday) but I had a little gas the first couple days, nothing a little gas x didn't cure. I have had no nausea or vomiting, and no heartburn. I ate a half a scrambled egg on Friday, and 4 bites of rice and shrimp yesterday. No problems. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me also, so I was glad to read your post and the responses, maybe we are just lucky.
  10. Well I am new to forums period, and I still need to learn how to navigate through this. My surgery is Tuesday in Mexico, I've been on a liquid only diet for 5 days, Ive cheated a few times with a high protien snack. That is what worries me, will I cheat after banding, and eat my way, right out of the lapband and the several thousand dollars.
