  1. I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly don't need to buy any clothes that don't fit!
  2. One gallon of water weighs 8.33 lbs.
  3. Being on "the border" myself (BMI of 40 - 6'1"/300) I scheduled a physical and was diagnosed as hypertensive (BP was 160/106!), so now I have a co-morbidity. Yeah! (How weird is it that we want to have more things wrong with us?) I am also going for a sleep study next week. Regardless of whether I get banded, high BP and apnea aren't good for me!
  4. No hoops for me to jump through, Anthem BCBS only requires me to be fat! lol Actually, BMI of 40 or above (mine is 41) or 35 with some other life-threatening condition. In case I need the ammo, I was just diagnosed with hypertension...my BP was 160/106! In spite of the BP, my labs came back very normal. A little low on the Vit D. My triglycerides were 174, but my cholesterol was also 174!
  5. I'm hoping to have a date soon. I'll be attending classes this week and had all my blood-work/EKG/chest xray last week. Dr. wants me to have a colonoscopy first, and that happens in about a week. (Wouldn't it be great to incorporate the colonoscopy and the pre-surgery diet? lol
