  1. Thank you so much for the advice. I will pick it up at Walmart tomorrow and give it a try. Great job with your weight loss. I am also 2 years banded and have lost 60 lbs. It's like most things …good days and bad days but the majority of my bad days are due to heartburn. I too wake up choking on vomit and it scares me so. I hope this med helps me also!
  2. So I know many of you will suggest that I am too tight, but I am not. In fact I only have 2.5 cc. But at least once a week I get really bad heartburn. I had this even before lapband but it is worse with the band. I do take prevacid daily. I also take other things when it comes on. It is awful …makes me actually sick. Any other ideas on how to get rid of it?

  4. Okay so I had my lapband surgery a year and a half ago. Experienced so much in this time. One thing I struggle with daily is nausea. It isn't that food gets stuck or I have eaten the wrong things. I honestly don't know what it is. I have a lot of problems with acid so I think sometimes that causes my nausea. Does anyone else have this problem? I sometimes get sick over liquids too. We have unfilled my band in case it was too tight and this wasn't the problem. I also notice that I am more sensitive to milk. Has that happened to anyone? Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! Happy New Year!
  5. I developed thrush after my surgery. I kid you not it was worse to deal with than recovering from the surgery...for me anyhow. Every time I had to swish with that antibiotic I wanted to throw up. And my mouth felt so disgusting with that bacteria. Hang in there. It's temporary.
  6. I agree with you! Dr. Felix put my band in on July 1, 2010. I called them repeatedly to find out where I stood in the process beforehand. I also had to call a few times after surgery because I had questions on how I was feeling. They have been great. I am glad I chose to go to Hope Bariatrics.
  7. I am glad to have found this thread but I didn't find any answers. I am 4 weeks post op and for the past few days I have been having horrible pain. It's under my right rib cage and shoots into my back up through my right shoulder. I am really concerned and scared that something is wrong. It hurts when I lay down and sometimes when I breathe. It's sharp pain. Please let me know what it may be. As I said, I am worried.
