  1. I was banded on Dec 14th. I was getting full and satisfied on small amounts of food around 1/2 cup, but now I seem to be able to eat larger portions. I dont want to stretch out my stomach.. I am able to eat 2oz of chicken, 1/2 cup of potatoes. Do you feel that Iam eating too much? I have called my doctor and they just told me to eat more Protein to help me to stay fuller longer. I lost 15lbs pre-op and only 3 since being banded. Iam starting to get worried.. Thanks:hungry:
  2. My 2 week pre-op diet consist of Protein drinks and protein bars. I am unsure of what I be eating after Surgery. I dont meet with the dietition until the day before my surgery... Everything has moved so fast. My insurance was approved and surgery was scheduled 2 wks later..
  3. Hello Everyone, My name is Cherie. I live in Arkansas where I haven't met a lot of lap banders. The support group that I met had like 10 people in it. I'am scheduled for lap band surgery on Dec.14, 2006 and Iam starting to get cold feet..I figure I'll be a nervous wreck before Thursday gets here! Iam also starting to get very weak from my pre-op diet.. Iam really worried about the gas pains after surgery and depression from not being able to eat... I cant sleep, all I can think about is, Am I doing the right thing? Has anyone else had these thoughts??? Happy to be aboard and ready to be healthy and hopefully someday be a "Hot Mama with personality!!!":help:
  4. Hello every one , I am new to this site and still trying to figure out everything.. I am scheduled to be banded Dec. 14th if I dont chiken out.. I haven't seen anything so far on the use of alcoholic beverages.. Will I ever be able to go out and have a drink with friends? Iam not talking about getting drunk just a drink. Has anyone ever mentioned this? Thanks
  5. I am set for surgery with Dr. Jones in Jonesboro AR and his office quoted me a price of 15,000 total, but my insurance covers 80/20 will his letter of medical necessity.. I met a girl in his office that was banded and she said that her hosp bill and his fee was 11,700 total...
