  1. I have had 6 fills so far. I am going in for another 12-27-10. Now I am at 10.5 in my band, and very little restriction. I schedule my fill when I want. Usually every 2-3 weeks
  2. I just call and schedule every two or three weeks. I get my fills done by a PA not the Dr. I now have had 5 fills and 10.5 in my band. I can still eat a complete meal . Very discouraged. The PA told the Dr. of my dilemma and his answer was that I was not as big as most and that is why it is taking more for restriction. I hope I don't run out of room. I am glad I get fills so fast, it would take me two years with a non aggressive dr. Does anyone have this much in band before restriction???????????????
  3. I was banded on 9-10-10. I have a Realize band 11cc. I am a low BMI and needed to lose 50 lbs to goal. I lost 12lbs in the beginning and have gained about 4 lbs. I have had 4 fills so far 9.6 and very little restriction. I am going in for fill #5 tomorrow. So frustrated, I feel this is not working for me. Has anyone experienced this but me??

I was banded on 9/10/10. I just had my 4th fill yesterday and hoping for restriction. I have a realize band and had 8.cc in with no restriction. Went back yesterday totally frustrated, and received 1.6cc. This brings me to 9.6. Has anyone had this problem? So many ccs and no restriction maybe this one will work. I am a low BMI and had 50lbs to lose, I just thought i would have restriction at a lower BMI.
  5. Hello, I am from Texas, also. I was banded on 9/10/10. I had my first fill 10/5 4.5cc in an 11cc realize band. No restriction, yet. I am a little, no alot disappointed. Just have to be patient, I guess. I ate out today and was disappointed in the amount I ate. I am a little ahead of you maybe we can compare notes.
  6. I was banded on 9/10/10 in Dallas,Tx. I am new to this journey. I had my first fill on 10/5/10. I start real food tomorrow. I am afraid I won't have any restriction. It seems as though I can eat most anything. I haven't had any problems so far. Just waiting for that restriction, getting a little frustrated. I have read it may take a week or so for restriction. Sounds strange to me, this I don't understand. You would think you would have restriction immediately or not at all. As I said, I am new at this and waiting for my next fill in 4 weeks:glare:
  7. I am also 2 weeks post-op and feeling great. I am just freaked out about the weight I might gain waiting for my first fill. My appetite is back and trying not to eat much.
  8. I am so glad for the info. I had never heard that. It makes sense. I will be back on the mushies pronto. It was never explained why, and I knew I had no restriction. I guess this is why it is called bandster hell. Hungry, can't eat real food, and no restriction. 1st fill 10/04, can't wait.
  9. My first fill is 10/4. I feel I will gain what weight I have lost. A little frustrated!!
  10. I was banded on 9/10/10. I am 2 weeks post-op. I am to be on mushies, but don't know why. I have not had trouble eating anything. I had lasagna, salad, toast and sugarfree lemon pie last nite. I hope i didn't hurt anything. I am not sure why the mushies since I have not had a fill. at this rate I am afraid I will gain all the weight I have lost. HELP ANYONE???
