  2. DIET PRIOR TO SURGERY You will need to follow this simple diet for 3 days and the last meal at your arrival day will be at 8 am. So the lab personnel will take blood samples. After that you will be able to eat. · All kinds of liquids · Water, tea, lemon water (Take at least 1.5 liters a day) · Water, tea, fruit juice drinks, natural fruit beverages, chicken stock, vegetables cream soups, skim milk, yogurt, jelly (gelatin desserts) . · Same liquids plus 3 pureed foods a day (a first stage of Gerber sized, strained). · Mashed fruits, vegetables, cereals (oatmeal, rice, potato, noodles, mixed). After your surgery we will provide you personalized care, giving attention to identifying your needs and evaluating outcome. Good luck Charles
  3. I hate that, people sometimes think that the surgery it's because of image, to look better, yeah thats a plus but it's a healthy way to live, with obesity you have a lot of problem dissease in the future but people don't see that.

  7. Well it's a hard decision but just tell him that it's between you two, if hes against that well, tell him that it's a good way because later you would have a lot of problems and remember that if you wait to talk, when you do it he would notice that you didn't tell fromthe begining and there would be a problem.

  12. Thats true girl, it´s hard at the begining but hang in there and you would see the diference, remember, the hard part for wakening up it´s the begining, getting up from bed, after all it´s not that bad. Charles
  13. Dear Lorrie : about your concern with blood clots, what surgeons do to prevent or diminish the risk of this event happening are three things : 1= anticoagulant one hour prior to surgery 2= squezzers on your legs 3= the most important issue, early ambulation postoperatively 4 to 6 hours after your operation there are certain risk to develop DVT-TPE including but not limited to sedentarism, prolonged bedrest, certain operations especially pelvic involving operation, certain drugs, etc. , wheter this aply to you I dont know. I am recomending you and excellent surgeon who has practiced bariatric surgery with succes , he´s based in Tijuana , his name is Ricardo R. Kelly, he has placed over a thousand bands with no complications, not major anyway, just the normal to any procedure his page is www.obesitybusters.com and his phone number is 619 793 4869. I hope you can benefit from my advice. Charles
