Obesity runs ramped in my family.  So, I've come to the realization that obesity is genetic for me.  After being morbidly obese for my entire adult life, dealing with a number of health issues that have arisen for me, and after contemplating this procedure for several years, I've finally decided to go for it!  I've begun my journey in February 2010 (with TRUE RESULTS)...and while I should be having the procedure done in late August/early September 2010, I do not yet have a definite surgery date.  My surgeon is Dr. Gowen Nirmul, MD.  I have Cigna as my insurance.  After taking care of my pre-op requirements, and meeting my deductable as well as my out-of-pocket, my surgery will most likely be covered 100%!!  :)
