  2. We still love you in Cbus!!!
  3. KTBugg....congrats!!! You must be so proud to be on the bandwaggon!!! Can't wait to join you...wishing you a fast recovery!!!
  4. Me too! I think monthly meetings sound wonderful!
  5. These are GREAT ideas...I know how much we all hate or have hated the camera, but what better group of people to fell comfortable around then us!!! We ALL can relate!
  6. Hey ladies, I have a favor! My dh is planning on keeping the kids busy at Polaris while we chat, but last night he asked if maybe he could talk to you guys, too. He said he has some questions about surgery and the entire process that he would love to have answered, and figured you girls would have the answers. Do you guys mind?
  7. He is an early bird. He usually gets there when it opens bc he has to be to work at 6:30! Way to early for me. I am so lucky that the kids don't wake up until after 8am!
  8. No news is good news...right? Hang in there...maybe you will have great news to share with all of us on Sat! Jury duty sounds fun. Do you feel like a real-life law and order? One day at a time is the right attitude!
  9. That sounds great! I am soooo looking forward to this, guys! Last night I went to the support group at Mt Carmel West. I had a really good time. It was great to see people tell their stories and share such personal things. The only downfall was most of the people there were GBP patients not lap band. I did get to meet two great women who were 8weeks out. both had the lap band and were down 30 lbs. They look great and were very helpful with specific questions I had. I left there feeling really good about my decision to do this, and I think it will be a place of support for me. (My DH isn't really on the BANDwaggon) They are also adding a emotional support group, too. It is going to be on Tuesday nights. I think this will be a big help as time goes on....
  10. Hey guys!!! I love reading about all of your weight loss! You are all an inspiration...even with saggy skin!
  11. We are members there! My kids take swim lessons and my hubby works out before work in the am...I just need to get started. A workout buddy sounds great! When do you work out? I am home with my kids during the week, and I work weekend nights, so I will be willing to make some time!
  12. KTBUGG, I think I would just call the main office number and tell them what is going on...tell them that you don't want to leave another message, and see if they can give you someone, anyone to talk to. I would think that with surgery tomorrow, they would be very willing to help! And hey, good luck tomorrow!!! Good thoughts and well wishes are sent your way!
  13. hey ladies...anyone going to the support meeting tonight at mt carmel west?
  14. mmmmm...that sounds yummie!
  15. thanks! anyone going to the mt carmel meeting tonight?
  16. Hey seksi, I am in Canal, too! Small world...welcome!
  17. Hello Hello Hello everyone! The 9th will be here before we know it...I can't wait! I think it is going to be a great time! I was just reading all the talk about seatbelt extenders...I guess I haven't thought about it, but we fly in 22 days, and this is prob going to be the first time I will need one...I am 5'9" and about 310lbs...so I am betting on it. The last time I flew I was about 275 and didn't have any problems. ugh...I am not looking forward to asking for an extender and having my kids look at me with questions as to why I have one. I am also a little worried about the rides at Disney. I know the kids are going to want me to ride with them...I guess I am going to have to take it one ride at a time and see....I just hate that my weight prob will effect them! I guess I will just have to keep my eye on the prize..March 12th!!! They called last week and scheduled my pre op testing, last nutrition class and gave me a 9am time on the 12th! I just cant wait! Special K, be ready for Charlene to call with a date...maybe even this week!!!
  18. I am sooo excited for you! I will keep my fingers crossed! Wouldn't it be crazy if she offered you March 12, too! We could take our post surgery walks together!
  19. where did they go...I must have done something wrong...hmmm let me try again
  20. Well, here are my new tickers...so, what do you think? I think the party theme is perfect for something like this...It is the best gift I can give to myself and my family!
  21. Ohhh, ya, that is a good idea! I think I will work on that right now! Have you heard anything special K? I would call Charlene and see the date she faxed the info....
  22. Welcome back QT! I am so sorry to hear about everything going on in your life the last month or so! I understand your pain...Last Dec 14th (06) My MIL had a massive stroke, too. We also spent the holidays at Grant...Long story short...she beat the odds and woke up on Christmas day! She has came a long way, but has lost speech, and the use of her legs and right arm...I tried to take care of her here at my house, but after about 6 weeks we had to put her in a nursing home. It is a nice place, as nursing homes go, but I sure do wish I could have kept her home with my FIL. The are only in their 50's so it makes for a long road a head for them... anyway...I am sooo proud of you for keeping the scales moving in the right direction. I know all of the stress along with the holidays could have been a major weight gain for anyone! Thanks everyone for the support. I am so excited for the next few weeks...between the vacation and surgery, Time is going to fly!!!!
  23. Ohhh, I might be able to use the 22's. I think that is about what size I am in now, although I haven't bought clothes in a long time! I think I will have some scrubs you can have, too. Do you have to wear a certain color? I am in a 2x scrub now, so if you want my smaller scrubs for now I am willing to trade! Heck, it will prob be a while before I would even fit in them, and by then you will swim in them!
  24. Hey ladies...I have Aetna also. I guess I was just lucky, but they approved me within a week of the office submitting the forms...I guess it just depends on the actual policy you have within Aetna.
  25. OK Ladies...are you ready to hear this??? I finally got a call back yesterday (almost 10 days from my call to her) from Charlene. I thought she was going to tell me that the info was sent to insurance...but no...she was calling to tell me the INSURANCE COMPANY SAID YESSSSSS!!!! YAHOOO!!! I WAS SO DOING MY HAPPY DANCE!!! She called me this am and wanted me to have surgery on the 6th of Feb....I hated telling her no, but that is only two and a half weeks before Disney, and I didn't want to be on liquids there. Soooo March 12 is the day!!! I can't believe it. I feel like I have been waiting for this forever (15months!) Sue--I am sending some luck your way baby! So... TM, special K, Sue and anyone else...MARCH is looking good to me--how bout you?!?!? Oh, and the bathing suit thing....I got the size 22 I ordered from fashion bug and the top is tooo small...go figure. I am either going to order a different on in a bigger size or try that avenue store you were talking about. thanks agin!
