  1. Let's meet on a weekend--downtown Dallas might be a central location. I think that a restaurant would be a good idea. Since we're all bandsters, we could order appetizers and share them. Looking forward to meeting all of you!!!
  2. what is the nutrional value of these chili's? Specifically, how much protein, fat and sodium?
  3. o2b---I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I will pray for you.
  4. NVALICIA--- CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!!:thumbup::party: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
  5. can someone update me or tell me how? I don't want to update the wrong list. 207....167......205.....38 thanks
  6. CTMAN!!!! Good for UUUUU!!!!!!!! Congratulations.....Let the countdown begin!!! Keep pressing forward---it will be benefcial for you to start changing your eating habits NOW. Try eating meat (protein) first. Then eat veggies, and then if you're not full--add a carb. Stop drinking 20-30 minutes before a meal. Don't drink during meals. When the meal is over, wait 30 minutes and then drink. 1/2 of the lapband battle is mental---change begins in the mind. "Be ye transformed by the renewing of you mind!!!" happy bandday to you
  7. Missy---glad you're under control now. I know what you mean about being close to onederland...I'm at 205 and it seems like I can't get past it..... Step isn't the only one that LUUUUVS the protein bar....I'm telling you---if you haven't tried it....YOU MUST DO IT TODAY!!!!!! I tried Zumba last night. (found a class at the local recreation center). I was a good aerobic workout, but it seemed as though the lady was making it up as she went. She had a thick accent and I could barely understand her--so I spent an hour looking at her feet and doing what she did. Thankfully, I have some natual rhythm---so I was able to keep up. I think that I will try a class in Ovilla (about 15 minutes away)...if it's not any better, I'll keep doing what I've been doing.
  8. I eat 1/2 for breakfast and the other 1/2 for mid-morning snack. I can't imagine ANYTHING tasting better than the chocolate!!!! it's like eating-guilt-free candy!!
  9. Steph---do you still eat the Supreme Protein Bars?
  10. Sorry about your difficulties Missy!!! Suzzie: I just purchased and picked up an AB Lounger from craigslist. I also found a Zumba class. So I plan on doing Zumba 1 or 2 times a week and I also do the eliptical for about 30-40 minutes for 3 or 4 times a week.
  11. You're welcome....please let me know if it works for ya!!!

  13. NVALICIA----Don't get discouaged!!!! I had hoped to be at 199lbs by Jan. 1, but I'm at 206---sort of stuck. But as I reflect, I've never lost 55lbs in 6/7 months in my life. So what I HAVE DONE is a blessing, but what I WILL DO will be greater. Just keep plugging, exercising and eating right. I will post a plateau breaker that was shared with me. It suggest that you do these things for 10 days. I did it for less than 10 days and saw results....check it out.

  15. JC---Do you know what caused your band to slip? It's good to know that you're recovering at home. I pray that all is well with you from this moment on...your weight loss is phenominal!!!

  17. someone gave this to me as a plateau breaker. You should try it. I didn't do it for the total 10 days...but I was able to move the scale after a few days....follow it to a T Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #1 - Drink 2 quarts of Water a day #2 - You must have 45 grams of Protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #3 - You may consume up to 3 oz of high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt Peanut Butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free Jello broths/bullion crystal light drinks #4 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #5 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily __________________
  18. Don't Believe The Lady At The Doc's Office. She Just Doesn't Want To Lose A Patient. Do The Research Yourself And Find A Doctor Close To You. I Have Had Approx 5 Or 6 Fills And Now I Feel Restrict. I Still Feel Like I Can Eat--but I Know It's Much Less Than I Use To. It's Your Band---do The Research--get A Fill!!!! Don't Let Anyone Tell You What You Can And Can't Do.... If You Were To Move To Another State--a Doc Would Take You--she's Lying!!!
  19. Toni--I'm so glad you're still reading and posting!!! I really miss hearing from you. Toni--hang in there...when is the last time that you had a fill. If it's been more than a month--RUN AND GET ONE....Someone sent me a platue breaker and it worked. If you want it send me a PM and I'll send it to you.... Good to "see" you posting....PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Thanks for the link to ZUMBA.com. There is a class in Ovilla, which is approx 15 minutes from my house. I am going to try the Monday night class. It's $10.00 a class since I'm not a member of that particular gym. If I like Zumba, it will be worth it....just to give my workout some variety. Currently I only do 40 minutes on the elipitcal machine. I'll let you know how it works out.

looks like her other hand if fondling her breast...what's up with that???
  22. CT--family is the most important reason--besides for yourself. Hopefully you will have a supportive family once the lapband is complete. Your wife will have to adjust her thoughts/habits around you not eating as much, trying to cook healthy meals, and NOT POLICING when you do decide to eat something that may not be the best. I can still eat everything I did pre-band--so I don't have "food" issues. This is good because I don't get sick, but also forces me to make good decisions about what to eat. My family is EXTREMELY supportive. I eat what they eat--just less of it. Right now, my church is completing the Daniel Fast (fresh fruits/veggies/nuts etc.--no meat, sugars, white flour etc.)...so yesterday, while had "good soul food", I cooked pinto Beans and brown rice. AND WE WERE ALL HAPPY!!!
  23. Welcome CTman---Enjoy the journey...have you gotten a date yet?
