  1. Thanks for all your kind welcoming words. I appreciate them so very much!
  2. Okay great so its three days after my surgery, the thought of more chicken broth is actually making me queasy...and then...I just started crying, I mean bawling...for no reason for like a half an hour. I don't even know what upset me. Have I lost it?
  3. Hi there I'm right there with ya. I was banded 6/21 and I was pretty miserable. I used the liquid pain meds to make myself get some rest (so i could deal with the pain and not be loopy from sleep deprivation) but my nutritionist did mention that warm liquids also help ease the pain. So decaf tea and the ubiquitous chicken broth have been a great help. However its day 3 for me post op and I'm pretty sure I'll scream if I even think about drinking any more broth *eww* But other than warm liquids, yeah, walking and GasX chewables. Hang in there its much better day 3.
  4. Thanks for your kind words! I give u credit being a naval spouse i almost married a midshipman once...still have incredible respect for what he did. Surgery was no big thing, the IV pinched worse than anything else.
  5. Hi Folks: I'm Nicole. A french teacher from NJ. 2 days post op at this point. Sorta uncomfortable but yeah that's to be expected. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. I'm all for learning from those who have more experience with this, truthfully I'm a little shocked I was brave enough to do this. But I'm glad I have and though subsisting on chicken broth, ice pops and crystal light is not thrilling i'm actually feeling pretty great. anyone have feedback on how long really it will take before i can stand and walk like a human being again haha!! I'm such an active lady this is bizarre!
