  1. I use this I got it from GNC, it's a vegetable and fruit protein powder. It is called Nature's Plus Fruitein High Protein Energy Shake - Revitalizing Green Foods. You mix one scoop with 8 0z. of water. Just shake it real good, because it does clump together. It doesn't taste bad. It is in a green can. I also add grounded flax seed to my oatmeal. Both of those things keeps my bowels moving regularly. Good luck
  2. That happened to me this weekend. I went someone's house and did not eat before I left home. I had tortilla chips, potatoe chips, some baked frozen snacks, a few chicken wings. On Monday when I weighed myself, I lost 4 lbs. I could not believe it. But I got back on track this week. I have lost 60 lbs in 4 months. Let's all keep up the good work and stay strong.
  3. This recipe looks good, I am going to try it. What size egg beaters, the large container. I am going to try it with egg whites, also I think I will use turkey sausage or tukery peperoni. Thanks for that recipe.

I have been so lucky. I get nice remarks all the time. I saw someone I have not seen in 2 years and she told me I look 10 years younger. I feel you on the clothing issue. It is so hard. I have lost 60 lbs since Sept. 22. Since I work in an office environment I bought six pair of pants in a smaller size and will wear those until they fall off. I only buy clothing that are on sale. I am going to Las Vegas in April and have nothing to wear, so will have to buy a clothing for that trip. I will wait until the last minute to buy anything for that trip. Good luck to us all.
  5. I have the same problem. I am 4 months out. Someone told to try magnesium and it works. I take a liquid calcium/magnesium at night and in the a.m. I go. I also use Flax seeds, have been mixing that in my oatmeal. The two of them seem to make me go regularly. If don't take either one then i won't go. Good luck.
  6. I have lost 55 lbs in 4 months and I am sagging. My arms are flapping, so I guess I will be wearing 3/4 sleeves in the summer. My stomach is hanging somewhat and my thighs are jiggling. I wear spanx they hold you in a lot. They even make my stomach flat and my thighs tight. And you can get high waist band and it pulls up all the way up to your bustline and holds in all the rolls in the back.
  7. I suffer from constipation a lot also. For the last two weeks I have tried Nature's Plus Fruitein High Protein Energy Shake - Revitalizing Green Foods, I got it from GNC. Also I use Organic Instant Oatmeal - Oats & Flax. I have been going regularly. I feel so much better.
  8. I am 56, had my surgery on 9/22/11 and have lost 55 lbs.
  9. Make sure take smaller pieces and chew, chew. The size of a pencil eraser is what I was told. I find when I don't follow those rules. It is very painful and pb'ing may follow. I started practicing a month before my surgery and still had a problem. So chewing and chewing is very important. Good luck.
  10. There is no way I can drink 64 oz. of water a day. I just can't I am so full with just eating my food. I try to drink as much liquids as possible. I am 4 months out and have lost 55 lbs. Maybe that is why I am so constipated all the time. I am going to really try and drink more water.
  11. Not sure what that lump is, I had it for several months. I am now 4 months post op and I don't have it anymore. But the first few months it was annoying. Hopefully yours will go away soon.
  12. On list of foods to eat Triscuit crackers. They taste like shredded wheat Cereal.
  13. What is the 5 day pouch test??? I have seen it in a lot of postings and was wondering what do you do. I may need it.
  14. The Biotin I have is dissolveable. You put it under your tongue and it dissolves. So it is easy to take. My bottle says it is 5,000 mg.
  15. I was told to use Biotin. Also eat lots of protein.
  16. Try spanx. They sell them in Lane Bryant. Expensive, but well worth the expense. I wear them every day. Get the high waist band and pull them all the way up under your bra. They also smooth your hips and bulges from your back.
  17. 1. chew, chew, chew 2. put fork down in between chewing 3. exercise
  18. Before the band I was having the same pain problems in the same areas. I was told I had fibromiligia?? I went to a Rheumatologist and she took a lot of blood work to make sure I didn't have lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. The Rheumatologist takes more in-depth testing. Once I had the band put in all my pain stopped and I stopped taking my medications. Good luck to you.
  19. Since I have gotten my 2nd fill ( I have 3.5) I get stuck a lot. It is a very uncomfortable and painful thing. Once you throw up you feel so much better. Sometimes it just sits there until it passes and that is so uncomfortable. I rather throw it up than it just sits. Throwing up is much different than before the band. You mostly throw up mucus. With the band you have to remember to take smaller pieces and chew, chew, chew. That is so important. And don't let yourself get so hungry, because then you forget.
  20. My doctor says you should go 4 - 5 hours between meals. I have had 2 fills with a total of 3.5 ccs and can go about 4 - 5 hours depending on what i eat at the meal. But since I had my 2nd fill I am having problems eating. Some mornings I could eat Breakfast and then the next morning I can't. Also some days I eat very little lunch or dinner. Not sure what it means.
  21. Try Spanx. I have been wearing them and they are very comfortable. You just have to pull them all the way up over your stomach.
  22. I had the flu shot and three days later was very sick. I had to take two days off from work. I had bronchitis. Then 3 weeks later I was sick again with a sinus infection. I have been trying to figure out why I got sick twice so close together.
  23. I live in North Jersey. My doctor is great, his name is Vadim Gritsus, he has offices in Pequannock and Paramus. His staff is also very nice.
  24. I was banded 9/22/10 since then I have lost 46 lbs. I get my 2nd refill on 12/14. And I think I need it. Let's all keep up the good work.
