  1. I am finally in Onderland! I never thought it would get here. It sure has been a long time coming. I entered bandster-hood in July 2010. It has truly been a life changing journey. I am still struggling at times with making the right food choices, but consider myself a work in progress. I am truly blessed
  2. Congrats!!! That is great

That's what my surgeon and nutritionist told me to do. I just thought that was the norm for lap-banders.
  4. That is just great news! Congratulations!

I am 3 mos post op and am getting really tired of the chewable vitamins I take. I am using the Bariatric Advantage chewables. I have also tried the Centrum chewables, yucky!! Does anyone have any other names of ones I could try? Thanks!!
  6. I had a fill yesterday, ended up back the same afternoon due to being over-filled. The doc took 1 cc out and I felt better rather quickly. I am still having weird gurgly, growly noises coming from somewhere below. Has anyone else ever had this happen? What is going on? It's not a tummy growling but like in my throat. Thanks for any help/input! 10 cc band 3 cc initial @ surgery 1 cc fill last week 2 cc fill yesterday -1 cc yesterday
  7. I am five weeks Post-Op today. I had my first fill on Monday, 1 cc was added. I had been having quite a bit of pain around the port incision, but when I went in for my appt, the doc said I had a lot of fluid built up in my abdomen. He took off several big syringes full before he put in the fill. It felt better right away. Been doing good ever since. He said all that fluid was the reason. I am feeling a little restriction now. Not too much though. I go back on Monday for another check up, maybe another fill.
  8. I was banded on 7/15/10. My doc puts in 3cc at first. I have a 10 cc band. I just went for my first adjustment on Monday. He put 1 cc in the band. No fluro, just the water test. I am feeling a little more restriction, but I think I might have a ways to go. Good luck to all!
  9. I totally agree with you finallyncontrol. It is a definite state of mind. I just need to get my brain into it. I need to straighten up and sacrifice a little for a whole lifetime of healthy! Thanks for your support and input!
  10. Thats funny! Thanks for the laugh, I needed one for sure. I guess I'm just not sure what he is expecting of me when he makes me weigh on Monday and go see him.
  11. I totally feel your pain. LOL. I just have to keep telling myself it is going to get better, but this part sucks! I just hate the waiting and anticipation. I will be glad when the surgery is done. Keep up the good work! It is a constant battle of will for me. I hope I can do this. God bless!
  12. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I just figured once they give you a date, that is the date. I am so worried, I wish Monday would just get here. Uggghh. I don't think I can handle much more of these shakes. Too sweet.
  13. I still have only lost 4 lbs. on this pre-op diet. I do admit I have had a piece of hamburger patty several times. I go in to the doctor on Monday so he can tell me if my surgery will still be on the 15th, based on if my liver has shrunk? How is he really going to tell that? I am so worried that he will postpone the surgery and make me drink this crap for another whole week. I am so stressed. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!
  14. Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome. I really appreciate the input and encouragement.
  15. I know it's so crazy! I hope the doc doesn't expect a lot of weight loss before- I've only lost 4 lbs. Otherwise, what are we having the surgery for if its that easy to lose it??!!??
