  1. Got my post op visit done today. Had a false sense of what i lost my scale has a two lb difference then the surgeons ...hated adjusting my tickler lol. Plus i have put on a few lbs post op. hopefully its healing/water weight.
  2. Im sad to say im at a stand still for weight loss , im not sure if my body is retaliating against very low caloric intake after surgery , or if im still swollen. Im actually up a few , maybe 4 lbs from my pre-op results. When did you guys feel all the swelling went away. Im not complaining just wondering how long the swelling hangs in? How many calories a day did you do on your liquid stage? im about at 700. I was down 20 lbs now im at 16 ...it will happen ...just frustrated.
  3. i was told 30 before and 30 after
  4. Good luck to all the new Banditos!! this week!
  5. I wrote a three page letter of attempted weight loss since the age of 15 to now 38. It helped in the previous weight loss attempts. You can write your own letter and give time frames. ~jennifer
  6. I use dutch chocolate ...and yummm its good 2 scoops and 12 oz of water!!! Good luck
  7. This question is like asking why does someone let themselves get to over 400 lbs before deciding to do something about their weight? Does it matter how much over weight one allows themselves to get before opting to help themselves with wls. REALLY???? this question by even asking it , makes me think someone is judgemental.
  8. Im worried im not getting enough calories to lose weight...all liquid is tough!!!
  9. Hello , Had my surgery on 8/17/10 Got to the hospital at 10:30 , had my labs done about 11:00. Called back and they gave me my gown which was so big it fell off...the nurse said i was alot smaller than most of his patients...that was a one positive lol. My surgery time was at 1:30 a anethesiologist came in and offered to much info, scared the daylights out of me. I then received the news my Dr was delayed helping with another pt(emergency) I then met a second anesthesiologist(she was nicer) . by 3:00 a Dr came in and said phewwww im finally talking to the right pt. He was my third anesthesiologist(the best!) He actually listened to me and my fear of the mask. I almost didn't get him until he saw the look on my face he said he would stay with me. He put me to sleep before the mask went on....at 4:00pm. I was in recovery at 5 and to my room by 6:15. I walked my rear off . Left yesterday at 12. Overall a good experience!!!
  10. Darlene , i started them today

Overall was a good xperience. I walked, walked , and walked some more in the hospital. No gas pain ths time ...ThankGod!!!!! Apparently my surgeon is top notch , i overheard by another patient that he was flown to indonesia by the king and operated on a prince . I guess i picked someone good!

  18. Hello , Just wanted everyone to see a positive post !!! For all you starting or needing to do a pre-op diet , i for one , highly reccomend it!!! I did not have to per my DR. but chose to. I did the isopure dutch chocolate shakes for breakfast and lunch , snacked twice a day on low cal mozz sticks(1 per snack). Dinner was a piece of chicken and salad or veggie. I was not Hungry at all surprisingly. I did do the two scoops of isopure and 12 0z of water . Everyone in my Dental office jumped on the band wagon with me and my friend lost 3 lbs her first few days. People were just as amazed as i was. It took me 4 months at Jenny craig to lose easily what i did in just over two weeks!!!!!!!!!! Go for it! it is well worth it and prepares you for the smaller portions. 17.3 lbs for me in 2 weeks 3 days!!!:cursing: ~Jennifer~ P.s my surgery is Tommarow!
