i HAVE BEEN GAINING WEIGHT FOR  15 years due to medications I have to take for the rest of my life. I went from 135 to 200 in 2 years and in the past yr up to 234. My family doctor suggested the surgery in August '09. He recommended a surgeon and it was a six month process of tests, psych evaluations, letters from all my doctors. I have only had one issue and that is the anesthesiologist used steroids and I am allergic to them, and he and I discussed that prior. Therefore I was very sick for 5 days, no sleep and full-blown manic. This allergy is on all my charts.
I have lost 15 lbs so far, since the two week prior diet I was put on to shrink my liver pre-op. All protein and little else but veggies.
I don't know what else to say. I have started the treadmill twice a day for 15 minutes each time and hope to improve on that, then when released for full exercise, use weights and other equipment.
