My story is probably similiar to everyone else- overweight, health issues, looking for that extra help to turn to a better lifestyle. I also had selfish reasons. Truthfully, I am a foodie, a BIG one, love to cook, love to eat, all that good stuff. That combined with a job that keeps my behind the computer 12-14 hours a day just lends itself to growing into your chair. I have struggled with weight all my life and even when doing competition body building back in high school I was 187 lbs. with a 27" waist- it made no sense. SO when going the real world, all the muscle weight added a protective layer of fat that has never gone away. I averaged out (if you want to call it that) and 270 and have been within 5-6 lbs of that weight for 6 years. I also have IF issues that started presentng themselves within the second year of my marriage and I have been dealing with those and still am. So, when I found a doctor and insurance company that agreed that I met the criteria (also diabetic- lucky me) I jumped at the chance to have this done. For me it is goes beyond the physical aspect, yes I am excited about looking better, and hopefully feeling better, but I want to start my family already!! So, here we go...
