  1. I got banded a week ago. Today my staples come off and my first fill will be next week. My doctor told me that they have discovered that six weeks before the first fill is too long and patients start to feel really hungry and are not restricted so the early fill helps avoid that. I am starting to feel a tiny bit hungry and crave something solid. I hope the fill makes it better. I'm a bit scared but I'll let you all know how it goes.
  2. I also had my band a week ago and totally understand what you are feeling. I have a difficult time with the shakes. My daughter took me to the grocery store and I found the most amazing protien drink pina colada smoothie by Sunkist with 20 grams of protien. Goes down smoothly and tastes great. I'm still having a hard time getting enough protien in. I guess it will take a while to get used to it. I can tell you that I do crave something solid.
  3. I had surgery on May 28 and my first fill will be next week. Yes, two weeks after surgery. My doctor says they have discovered that it's the best way to go. We will see next week. Thanks for posting how it went for you. I'm getting my staples removed today and can't wait till next week.
  4. Just want to say hello to everyone. I got banded 5 days ago. The first two days were a bit rough mostly due to gas pain. After that every day has been a bit better. I have lost 11 pounds in just 5 days and can't believe it. I know the weight loss will probably slow down but still, wow! I have been reading many posts and can't wait to share my journey with all of you!!!!
