I am trying to get information and feedback from others who have gone through this surgery to see if it's something that I can really do.  I see my Dr. for the first visit on June 18th.Apparently I posted that before June 18th, lol.  I have since scheduled my surgery for August 31st.  My whole life I have never had a problem LOSING the weight, but I could never stay on a diet, or I would stop exercising, or something would "happen" and I would always gain everything I lost, plus a few more pounds.  All those "few extra pounds" add up over the years.I have a long family history of heart problems, I have hypertension, edema, and am borderline diabetic.  Seriously....that being said, need I say more???  I want to be around to watch my little granddaughter grow up.  I bought her a Barbie Escallade for her 3rd Birthday, which was June 12th.  I wanted to cry when I realized that I was too overweight and out of shape to try to run alongside her to teach her to drive it.  Everytime I keep her and we pull up in the garage she exclaims "There's my new Car! Nana, I want to drive my new car!"  And everytime I make up an excuse to her about it being too hot, or time for dinner, or Dora's on TV....  Simply pathetic....  And that is one of my goals is to be able to run alongside her to teach her to drive her new car.Well kids..... now the fun begins.
