I began gaining weight in college and my weight gain accelerated after I got married.  I weighed 204 the night my son was born, and packed on more pounds over the years.  I've hit an all-time high of 230  at age 45, and I'm scared because I have a lot of obesity-related health problems.  I have pre-diabetes, chronic migraines, hypertension, high cholesterol, fatty liver, high triglycerides, plantar faschitis, arthritis in my feet and ankles making it hard to walk, and not surprisingly, depression.  I feel unwell most of the time.  I am out of control.  I will be attending an information session in a few weeks.  I'm really hoping my insurance will cover this surgery and I'll be a candidate.  I need support to know I'm making the right decision to have this surgery.
