  6. I find it interesting how Doctors all vary in their post op diet...I am on full liquids/pureed food (I am 11 days post-op) and i am able to have Protein Shakes I dont have to wait till next week to start them with my mushies. I have not had problems with milk or milk based foods after band but i did before i was banded and had to really limit them from my diet. Now I find my self able to eat yogurt and creamed Soups I even put milk in my protein shakes. Good luck on your journey!!! p.s How do you make a smore Protein shake that sounds delish!!!
  7. Yeah i have been on purees since Wednesday of last week. it is nice to be off clear liquids but is starting to get boring and i am craving something to chew... I had some very runny oatmeal today for breakfast and that was delish, probably shouldnt have done it but it didnt hurt. I dont know how you can be only only protein shakes and clear liquids for so long i was really crying on my 5th day of clear liquids...Good luck!
  8. That is absurd... I can see putting your fork/spoon down after every bite and chewing 25-30 times but not waiting 2 min to take another bite. you wouldnt even finish your meal you would be eating for over 1 hour and doesnt that defeat the purpose of having the band if your gonna be eating all the time??
  9. congrats!!!
  10. I felt tired the first few days but now that i'm on pureed foods i make sure i get lots of good veggies in. I made a pot of cheesy broccoli soup and i know that it is helping me alot cuz i finally get to eat some green veggies...
  11. coughing and sneezing post op have been a very painful thing to do for me, thats why i hold on to my port site very well or use a pillow before i sneeze or cough it helps a little.
  12. Could you share the recipe for the baked potato soup even if it was just a can could you let me know what brand i luv potato's and havent had any in over a month. I would luv to have it sometime this week!
  13. I had my band placed on Aug 26th and for the first week i had a difficult time as well that is why i drank only Clear liquids even my Protein Drink was clear from Isopure. I too had a lot of loose bm's I just took a Fiber supplement and that helped. If the yogurt makes you feel ok then do that to get your nurishment just make sure there are no chunks and that it is the drinkable kind...Dont give up things do get better!
  14. How exactly does your port flip or move if it is supposedly sewed on to your abdomen???
  15. I luv LBT!!! I was also posting on another site which I just deactivated my account with and LBT is by far the best place to come for help and advice about the lap band. I luv that your never bashed or made to feel as if your wrong or stupid for choosing the lap band here, and I am so glad that there is no bickering back and forth between members. So Thanks to all who participate here at LBT for you help, advice, prayers and well wishes!

  22. Hi all just a little update...it turns out that my IV site got a little infection and that is what was causing the pain redness and swelling....so now i'm taking antibiotics and forgot to ask for liquid and have to cut up the pill into 4 tiny pieces....Oh well I hope to be feeling better soon...
  23. I just took some antibiotics and i had to cut it up in 4 pieces but it feels like it is sitting in my throat!! no amount of water will get rid of the feeling yikes does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it???
  24. I'm doing well the only pain I have is this weird pain in my left bicept and my left hand where the IV was. I dont know if it is an infection or just more gas....I am now on pureed food and am addicted to this cheddar broccoli Soup I made yesterday. I know I need to increase my Water intake but honestly I get so full off of my Protein drink and soup that I have to force myself to drink water, at least i think I got 1 liter in today
  25. No you shouldnt have it forever.. I was banded on Aug 26th and my left shoulder pain is gone....
