I was banded 12/19/07 and I had lost 17 pounds and I have already have gained 4 back. I am sooooooooo sad! If I have the band how is it that I can eat a whole baked fish from Luby's as a matter fact I finish any meal put before me. Please somebody tell me what is going on. I paid cash for this surgery and I want the best for me, but why am I already gaining. I go to the doctor on Jan.17th I guess for my first fill. Do you think things will start getting better then. I am only eating creamy soups, soft vegetables s/f pudding tea sweetened with splendra and baked fish. Somebody Everybody please respond!!!

Hi Beth Congratulations on getting the band and doing something for yourself, as teachers we always find ourselves doing for others and putting ourselves last. I am doing well, I am on the mushy food abd baked fish. I have not been on the scale yet because I was told the first month is for healing and once you have your first fill you should start loosing. Hi Karyno I was banded on the 19th and it sounds like the pain you are having is prbally from the swelling of your port. I experience it from time time. I am currently on soft foods, I seem to be able to tolerate any soft food right now. I am allowed to eat baked fish and tuns, but continuue to follow your doctor's order. We are going to make it through this. Keep ypu head up! Where are your from?

I was banded on 12/19 as well and I feel like a burning sensation right under my breast area is. I believe that is where the port is, but it feels weired too. Just curious where are you from?

MS. Diet Quenn when you are paying privately, the process will move rather quickly. I paid for mine and there were no hassles or complications. Good Luck.

I was also baned on the 19 and I had that same experience. I just continued taking the pain medication they gave me from the hospital, and for the most part it is gone. Where are you from I am from Houston. I hope my reply helps. Take Care!

I researched that info and they said no liquid metphormin. I crush mine and take it with crystal light quickly.

Kristen thank you so much for sharing, your words were so encouraging and inspiring, considering I am so new at this. I would now like to ask how soon did you start exercising? I also would like to know when do you eat your foods and when do you drink your protein drinks. I want to do the right thing, for more reasons that one one I self payed and 2 my life depends on it. Hi I am a school teacher as well and I was banded 12/19/07 the last day before Christmas break. I am feeling o.k now and think you will be fine after spring break. I am from Houston and work for Fort Bend District who do not pay for the surgery. What district are you in and will they pay for yoyr surgery.

Hi I understand I was banded on 12/19/07. I was not on a diet before surgery so I ate everything up until 24 hrs before. I know you will be fine and keep your head up we are going to do well. I am from Houston

Thanks it seems you are doing gret with your weight loss. Please share any tips you have that I could possibly use before I see my doctor on 01-19-07. I would love to been have lost 15 to 20 pounds.

I was banded on the 19th also and my left side hurt. Are you having any pain in that area? What are you planning to eat for Christmas?

I was banded on December 19, 2007 and they told me no baths as well. I just wanted to ask do your left side hurt and if someone could tell me how long this should last? I am in pain!!
