I'm 6 wks post op. I've lost 26 lbs! ) I'm testing the waters, trying real food. I'm curious about what you eat during the day. Im afraid to get off the mushy stage, because harder solid food seems to hurt going down and feels like its stuc I was wondering how many meals are consumed during the day and what others are eating at this stage. Thanks! )

Thanks for the suggestions. I am beginning to realize that I need to take much more time to eat and chew even slower. Its so weird though, how my tastebuds have changed....things I used to love taste gross to me now! Thanks for the response Tiffy, Clara and Lookinup!
  4. I am consuming approx. 800 cal. a day. Trying to take in at 60-80 g of protein. Keeping the carbs and calories low. I couldnt stand the taste of the chewable vitamins that I bought from my surgeon, so I am currently taking the centrum chewables, plus the sublingual vit B. Im trying to take in 64oz of water, but I have to admit, some days I dont get it all down.
  5. Glad to hear of your success so far. My sleeve date is close to yours. I was sleeved on 5/25/10. I have currently lost 17 pounds. My clothes aren't feeling so tight anymore lol it feels so good to actually be able to button something up without straining and sucking in your gut! Last night I actually was able to remove my shorts without unbuttoning/unzipping them! Oh what a nice feeling that was! I took have an underactive thyroid, so I have battled this weight for yrs. Im having alot of heartburn that I hope will eventually go away. Other than that, things are great! For the first time ever in my life I am so aware of everthing I put in my mouth and the nutritional value of it...This is clearly one of the best things I have ever done!. Good luck to you!
  6. Had mine May 25, I hope that's close enough. Good luck everyone. we can do this!
  7. I too am three weeks out and my weightloss has come to a complete stop. This week I had a follow up with my surgeon and he advised me to watch my calories. Its very easy during the full liquid and mushy phase to consume too many calories with yogurt and creamy soups. He advised me to try more protein in the way of ground turkey and fish. I have to admit that the idea of pureed food made me gag but Im being creative and making ground turkey with pinto beans and a touch of salsa. I blend it just enough so that its not too chunky. The best thing is that this meal kept me feeling full for a long time. I drink two protein shakes a day. The chewable vitamins gag me, any suggestions for making them more appealing? All this and still trying to drink 64 oz of water. Im excited and feel like I am back on track!
