I started my journey to have lap band surgery in January 2010. Aetna required that I have 3 consecutive months of doctor supervised weight loss and documented the doctor recommending bariatric surgery along with 3 consecutive months meeting with a dietician. I also had a physch eval done in February. I just got the call today 4/21/2010 that I was approved for my surgery and the surgery date is Friday May 7, 2010.
