  1. I was banded on April 15th (Take THAT, IRS!!! heehee) and am down 31 lbs. pre- and post-op. I just had my first fill today! (That was kind of a weird feeling!) and am on full liquids for 48 hours. Had my 1/2 cup of potato-leek creamed Soup and "felt" it! Haven't had that feeling since the few days after surgery! Dr. did not tell me how much he filled--my hubby was watching and said 'not quite one syringe full'?!? I am REALLY hoping to feel this restriction cause I have felt like I could eat anything (and almost any amount) for the last 2 weeks! My Doc was disappointed that I had stopped measuring, so my 1/2 cup bowls are back out (including one in my purse).. Good Luck, April Bandsters!! We Can Do It!! Ruthie G. highest- 277 current- 241.6 (let's not forget those point.numbers!! goal- 169 (cuz that is what my DL says!)
  2. First- Have someone else in your house HIDE THE SCALE! My husband did when he got tired of me announcing how much I had lost (or NOT lost) everytime I walked in-n-out of our bathroom! Now we only weigh on SUnday mornings--MUCH better--less stress and no more obsessing. Second- Congratulations on your surgery! I know how hard of a decision it was for ME to have my surgery (04/15/10) so I applaud each and every one of us for our bravery and tenaciousness! WE ROCK!!
  3. Diva- No worries! It is becoming more and more common for physicians and hospitals to take the extra precautions with surgeries--I even had to wear the compression socks during an out-patient carpal tunnel release surgery 2 years ago! I had my band surgery on 04-15-10 and my Dr. ordered the blow-up compression thingies (yep-that is official medical speak! haha)---I welcome any and all "pre"cautions that they take!! (Better than "post"cautions!)
  4. Thank you for your post! I was beginning to feel hopeless~ Now, don't laugh, but I am only 10 days (yep- days!) out from my hiatal hernia nd band placement surgery, but am hungry ALL the time! I feel like I didn't evej have surgery--and worse, because my hernia is repaired, I don't even have heartburn anymore! I am SO done with the clear and full liquids (even thought the dietician says full liquids until next Friday!) Inb fact, I ma having 1 scrambled egg with a little diced ham in it for breakfast--I am HUNGRY! My next Dr appt is not until June 9th! I THINK that will be for my first fill, but what do I do until then??I am down 20 lbs since my pre-surgery high, but have remained the same weight for the last 4 days (since starting "full" liquids)..I am walking 1-3 miles a day..have a LOT of energy! Any suggestions?!?! Newborn Bander:redface:
