  2. Hello everyone! I have been banded since May 2010... I lost 120lbs and was down to 160, after 2 years! Then I, too, became complacent and decided that I'd start having my band loosened. BIG mistake. I gained 40lbs back within a few months. I got used to the full feeling the band provides, and I no longer had that and I lost sight of portion control. I've been tightened since April and lost 20 of the 40 I gained... I'm back on here now because I need help getting encouraged to start exercising again... any suggestions on how to get motivated to restart my routine?
  3. This is funny that you post this. After 2.5 years of being banded, I opted to have my band completely unfilled... very bad idea. I went today for a fill and found out that after 120lbs lost, I gained back 40 in 4 months! I'm SO disappointed in myself. I am happy that I'm back on track, but learning how to do this all over again is totally not worth it... just my opinion :-)

  5. WOW guys, sorry I dropped off there for a while. Back in Nov 2012 I had all of the saline removed from my band... BAD IDEA. I thought I was past the need for the band and wanted to do it on my own. It is amazing at how fast I forgot about portioning. I am going back tomorrow morning to have it put back in as I have gained 15lbs. I am not a happy camper, but it's never too late to start again, right? I'd love to hear how everyone's holidays were, what you struggle with the most. I need to get back to the grind. I didn't come all this way to mess it up for myself...
  6. Lol, post lap band road*
  7. Rkimom, how has your post odor hand road been?
  8. I'm May 2010! Id love to see how you are doing!
  9. ACP1974... I want to thank you for your post. It was a real eye opener, and made me realize that I, too, was "eating around the band." I had my second fill today, and am really feeling what it is like to have restriction. It is re-assuring! Good luck!
  10. Sibom, I am sorry to hear that you are struggling. I was banded on May 5th 2010 as well, and have lost 28lbs so far. I have been having a hard time staying full. I had my first fill June 14th, and did not get much restriction with it. I go for my second today. Hang in there, keep at it. It can only get better with each fill! Good luck to all! Heidi
  11. I got my approval last week, and I am set with a date of May 5th!!! I cannot wait! I have been patiently waiting, and finally, it has come! Best wishes to all my fellow May bandsters!
