I had surgery on the 28th. I think things are going well. Walked today for the first time since surgery. Didn't go as far as normal the dog thought I was confused but overall went well. Just want somone who is going through similar issues to share with, laugh with and occasionally cry with.

I am a night shifter as well. I just was banded on the 28th and have not yet returned to work. Before surgery I ate at 5 pm 2-3 am and 5 am. give or take. I am an er nurse so it didn't always work perfectly. When I switched back to sleeping at night I would eat at 5 am and then force myself up by 1 so I could eat lunch and dinner by 6 pm. I hope that makes sense. I work sun through tues or wed depending on the week so switching is easier than if I worked every other day. I will let you know if this works now that I am banded. My name is Rebecca and started this approval process in Oct...Have to love insurance companies! Will talk to my Dr in the AM to schedule my surgery! Hoping for April 28! I am 252 pounds and ready to make a new start!

I know think that you lied but why do you not want to tell people about the surgery? It is a tool to help you loose weight not the end all. I would have said that I had the lap band and with that and diet and exercise I have been able to to accomplish this. Only because of how many people dont think of surgery as an option. I am having surgery either the 21 or 28 of April. I am so excited but a little anxious which I know is normal. I am ready to be a to do things I like to do with out my knees hurting....Best of luck. Rebecca
