Hi to you New Mexico lap banders., Does anyone plan to go to Starbucks on Saturday March 3? If anyone is planning on going, please let me know. Catalina left me a message that she will be out of town, but she wanted us all to try and still meet. I know she had planned to meet oat 10 a.m., but we can change that. Please let me know. Ho Doug, I am in Rio Rancho also. Great that you have been approved for surgery. I am really happy that I had it done. I went to Dallas Tex. and the doctor does the first fill, then the rest he has people here that do it. I had my first Albuquerque fill done today. If you have any questions, I would be glad to answer any that I can. Nanette

Hi Steve, I was banded also at the surgery center of Richardson by Dr. Felts partner, Dr. Benivedes. I was really happy with my choice to go there, even though the plane ride home the day ater surgery was a little rough. I had my surgery on Oct.26. It sounds like your doing very well with your weight lose so far. You should try to make the starbucks meeting on March 3.in Rio Rancho. Nanette

Hi everyone. The meeting we were supposed to have at my house didnt work out, so I hope to meet everyone on March 3 at starbucks in Rio Rancho. I dont know how to change my ticker. It is stuck on 19 lbs. lost, but I am up to forty now. I had my first fill in Albuquerque today. I think I am pretty tight, but may be thats what I need. Havent tried to eat any solid food yet. Hello everyone from N.M. Sorry I havent posted latley, but been so busy with the holidays. Happy New Year to everyone. Let this be the year that we make really positive changes in ourselves! The phone number for El Camino Imaging center is 505-998-1317. They are contracted with my doctor in Texas for fills. Weather they will do one for other patients, I dont know. I had my first fill on Dec. 5, but didnt feel any more restriction at all, so I guess I need another. Hope everyone can make it to our meeting on the 6th of Jan. Hi Rose, I live in Rio Rancho, and was banded on Oct.26, in Dallas Tex.. We are forming a support group for lap-band people, and you are welcome to join us. There are just a few of us so far, but we welcome anyone with a band or anyone who is getting one or thinking about the process. We meet on the first Sat. of the month. If you are interested, let me know. Another member of our group also get her band in TJ. My Dr. in Texas set up a way for us to get fills here. It is at El Camino Imaging Center. Hello N.M. Bandsters Three of us girls got together last week, and we are trying to start some kind of support group for people with lap bands. We would love to have any one else in N.M. with a band to join us. We will be meeting the first Sat. of every month in Rio Rancho. If any one else is interested, We would love to have you join us! I am game to start a support group.I think it would be good for all of us to get together and talk about our sucesses, problems, challanges etc. I know in other parts of the country they set a time everymonth to gather in a resturant and meet. I would even be willing to have it in my home if needed. I live in Rio Rancho. If anyone is interested let me know. I am real new to the lap band. I was banded on 10-26, so I am just beginning on this journey. It would be nice to talk to some that are farther along than me. Nanette

I have a surgery date of 10-26. Scared but excited too! I will be having my surgery in Richardson Tex. by Dr. Benivedas. Anyone else out there that has had surgery there or by him.
