  1. Congrats on your success and THANK YOU for the post!! I am one week post-op and I am going through a lot of what you mentioned. I actually got on wondering if the lack of energy was normal. I am back to work today and I just feel drained. I feel better knowing there is a light at the end of this "not so enjoyable" tunnel.
  2. Hello I was banded on the 29th too. I am doing really well. I was anticipating a lot more pain. I am glad you are both doing well!!
  3. Congrats on the weight loss!! I am having my surgery June 30th and I start my liquid diet tomorrow. I am not looking forward to the days following the surgery. I have to be back to work that Thursday morning. I am hoping for a quick and easy recovery. Thankfully I have a desk job and I can leave if I need too.
  4. Oh and Happy "BELATED" Birthday!!!
  5. Congrats!! I am getting mine done on June 29th too. I actually haven't got my insurance approval yet but that is the day they gave me. Hopefully everything goes as scheduled. Keep in touch!!
  6. WOW I attended a seminar on March 24th 2010 and I thought my process was long. I don't have a surgery date yet but I just have to lose a few more pounds before they submit for insurance approval. Hang in there!!! You have worked so hard - I am sure it will be well worth it. :w00t:
  7. I actually got on today to ask about beer. I assume it is the same as soda?? Some can tolerate it and some can't? This sounds like I have a problem - lol I really don't but I enjoy a beer or two after a softball game. Have any of you Post banders been able to have a beer?
  8. Thank you Amy!! That makes me feel better. Yesterday was the first night and I made the mistake of taking the meds on a full stomach right before bed. BAD IDEA!! I was up all night with acid reflux coughing and it was a really bad taste. I will be smarter tonight.
  9. My doctor's office called me and put me on a two week prevpac - a lot of antibiotics - for a stomach bacteria. I was wondering if anyone else had this treatment and what your experience was? I googled it and I read about some bad side effects.
  10. Thank you Panfisher. Your weightloss is definitely inspiring. I hope I can do half as well!! congrats!!
  11. Hello I am hoping for surgery in May or June. I am an active softball player ( 4 nights a week ) and my surgeon said I will be able to resume playing shortly (within the week ) after surgery. I would like to ask all of you who have had surgery, what is the likely hood of that? Do you suggest it? I have a high pain tolerance but I am concerned of it slipping or doing damage. Thanks in advance for all your much appreciated advise. Julie
