Hi my name is justine717 i have not been here for a few week My surgery was o jan 11 2007 I started at 220lb and i'm now 183.2lbs, Today i received my first fill of 1cc my surgeon told me that i must stay on liquid for two day and the next two day on puree does this sound correct to you because i thought that after a fill you stay on liquids for a week. anyway are you suppose to feel different after a fill ? i have been drinking liquid all day and i feel just the same like this morning except i'm feeling a little hungry because i have not ate no solids.:guess

I feel like i can eat anything I have never gotten stuck, i have never thrown up i never get any discomfort is this because i have not gotten a fill. Please share some insight.

Hi i have not post for a while but my lapband experience has gone very well so far I was banded on Jan 11 2007 I started out at 220lbs and now at 191.6 lbs. Iam hoping that i wont need a fill anytime soon, and Iam also doing excercise every other day. Iam only able to eat like 4oz of food until i start feeling full but thats ok. I will keep you posted. well Karlee I deciced that if Iam going through all this i might as well follow the rule, Iam faithfully doing excersise low impact and than every other day i use my tread and burn about 250 calories, i stay away from bread and rice. i stick to low calorie foods, and it has been working out great.

Dont worry this is normal just try to get a little more liquid in, Because your body will go into starvation mode as it did with me after the first week because i was not able to get alot of liquid in, make sure you drink your vitamins, also first week is always tough for alot of bandster. by the second and third you feel much better. keep us posted.:hungry:

Hi all i was banded on Jan 11, 2007 and have been on a liquid diet since than, my surgeon said the first 3 week i must be in a liquid diet so that the band will be well adjusted to the stomach, anyway i have lost 20lbs since my surgery day. Now Im looking forward to eating mushy food so any sugestion. Another things Im feeling like i kind of cheated a little because anybody would loose 20lb if they would be on a liquid diet even without the band. So my real challenge to me will be when i start eating regular food to see if my band really helps me lose weight of cause with my help.:hungry:

hi was just banded on jan 11 and iam feeling miserable i cant seem to get the required amount of liquids in without having some kind of pain, gas pain are killing me I;m feeling weak and today i only got 15oz of liquids in. did any body feel like I'm feeling now,:help: please help.

Hi i have not been here for about two week, I kind of took a break from the whole lapband scenario because i was overwhelmed with the holidays now I'm back on track and just found out my insurance approved my surgery. I will have it done in New York on Jan 12 2007. God willing ,at Montifiore Hospital in the Bronx. Anyway is there anybody here from Newyork City.:clap2:

My doc said no sex for 6 week, I guess every surgeon is differrent.

I have not had the lap band yet But my surgeon told me to keep away from slim fast because of the sugar content and stick to protein powder.

I was suppose to be banded on Dec 22 2007. but my insurance is giving me a little bit of problem, it is requesting a pcp statement, come to find out that he has retired, I am going to be seeing the doctor that took over his patients. i hope he does not give me any problems. My other set back is that i have been so stress with the holidays and the upcomming surgey that i decided to take a breather and have my surgery reschudule to January 12 2007. That way everybody in my family and myself do not worrying about the outcome of my surgery 3 days before christmas, I will be able to spend christmas with them all. please pray that all goes well.:welldone2:

I was very dissapointed Because she did not really go into detail regarding the lap band.

Iam no doctor but i do work for a urologist here in New york, But that sound that you may still have kidney stone, once you get the ct-scan they will probably see them. They can be very painful and frustrating but dont worry yourself about cancer I work with tons of people who have the same symptons and usually it comes back that they have stones or the stone are passing.God willing you will be alright.bye.

This message is for Terrelin, I'm saddened by the fact that you feel that you are not worthy of god anymore, But the truth is that God love you and that if you believe and trust in him he will will never let you down. I will now lift you up in prayer. Dear Lord look upon your child Terrelin who feels not worthy of you, I ask you Lord to take away those feeling of sucide and bless her with your unconditional and merciful love, Lord take away those feeling of depression and help understand that if she calls upon you, you will be there for her.
