  1. I live in Lenexa, but I went to Mexico for the surgery. I made calls to find a doctor willing to fill me and only got one "yes" from Dr. Malley, but can't get in until May. However, thanks to this site, I've got a broader list and will begin contacting them tomorrow. However, after one month, I've developed this stabbing pain and don't have a lapband doctor here. I've made an appointment with my regular doctor, but I do not know if she'll be able to figure it out. Someone on this site suggested it may be a problem with the port...so I assume I'll need someone who performs the procedure. I'm in pain and quite worried.
  2. I had my lapband a month ago. I was not hugely overweight, but it was enough to bother me (183 lb.s). I lost a quick +/-12 lbs. and inches all over my body, but haven't lost anything in awhile. Furthermore, I developed this stabbing pain (below my waist, on my left) and don't know whether to rush to the doctor, or not. I know it is not my appendix, since I don't have my appendix. My concerns are twofold: When will the the weight loss kick in again and I'm wondering if this pain will disappear? I just do not want to have surgery, again, if there is a deeper cause to my pain, so I'm avoiding the doctor.
  3. I was told 3 days, but I took a full week sandwiched by weekends. I am a teacher and on my feet most of the day, but I just felt like crap and wondered if I'd ever feel well. I returned to work and eventually felt 100%, but it took time.
