  3. actually, i was completely serious... i have been craving spinach for a few weeks and finally bought some ... i'll try steaming it. i dont like to boil my veggies. 'preciate it. i love cheese but dont like eggplant
  4. its really really really hot in my house (AC decided to quit... grrrrrrrrr)
  5. becky, so glad to hear that you are OK... i was getting worried! day 2-4 was the worst for me. if you need anything, let me know. C
  6. wasa, thanks so much for your post and courage to post ... i know some on here have given you hell over some of your views... the sleeve sounds like something i would consider if my band were to fail for some reason. question - you know how you can 'eat around the band'? is that possible with the sleeve? what happens if you eat too much? i know you would eventually stretch the pouch, but is there anything immediate - like a PB? thanks!
  7. well i have to say froggi, you DONT look 407 pounds! you are beautiful...
  8. posting just to post that i LOVE potatoes and spinach, i just bought fresh spinach for the first time (trying to eat well and keep a sticky bean) and i have NO CLUE how to cook it... LMBand-Aid - your ticker looks just like my cat!!! so i guess this post really wasnt a post just to post....
  9. thanks .. i am REALLY trying not to worry about it. some great comment on my blog hit the nail on the head - it's basically out of my control anyway, so why freak over something i cant control ... im trying to think of it that way.. really trying. i dunno if i really even feel pregnant anymore. i mean i get kinda queasy every once in awhile, but my 'need to pee' has lessened (i think). chest is still tender, but i think that would be the case regardless due to the higher than normal hCG.... it might just be going down. but anyway.... cant be concerned over it ... my DD is keeping me VERY busy today anyway. we all went for a nap and apparently she woke up and was bored so she decided to 'rearrange' her closet that i forgot to lock. oops. DH was not too pleased. and Faith - i have no clue what Dr. P is going to say. in fact, i had an appt with him Thursday, but had to cancel cause i felt i was too nauseated to drive all the way to downtown Dallas area and all the way home.. i havent rescheduled yet... plus, he's going to freak that i havent lost anymore weight... **sigh**
  10. ok... not horrible numbers, but it didnt double. initial read - 6/10 was 3059 2nd read - 6/12 was 5430 i called my OB and the nurse said that its an acceptable rise, so im going to continue to try to NOT freak out... i will go back for another hCG reading next week. im going to try to hold out until Thursday, but i'll probably be in the office Monday afternoon  thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers, i really appreciate it.
  11. BBK LOVE the new sig!
  12. well, THANK YOU... you picked MY birthday to post it... of course im just now seeing it, but thanks!
  13. "Tim Russert, who became one of America's leading political journalists as the host of NBC's "Meet the Press," died Friday, according to the network. He was 58." Newsman Tim Russert dies at 58 - CNN.com
  14. thanks!! im trying ... the other websites helped ... im even in the middle stage for 5 weeks .. we shall see....
  15. i posted a freak out on a mommie board that i was probably losing and some wonderful woman gave me a great link about hCG (heaven forbid i do my own research and just rely on 1 internet source) * 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml * 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml * 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml at the time of the test i was 5weeks 6days... my hCG was 3059.... so well within the range that the American Pregnancy Association (whoda thunk there was an association??) says is OK. " Caution must be used in making too much of hCG numbers. A normal pregnancy may have low hCG levels and result in a perfectly healthy baby. The results from an ultrasound after 5 - 6 weeks gestation are much more accurate than using hCG numbers." hCG Levels : American Pregnancy Association sooooo... im going to TRY to chill out and just wait until my Doctor calls tomorrow with a (HIGHER, please) number... thanks for the fingers/etc crossed, it really means a lot to me. im going to try to just chill out
  16. tests dont look good. hCG is really low. this sucks.
  17. ok ... since i've been outted on LBT, i'll come out of the closet here... i am once again preggers. im hoping this one sticks cause i really dont feel like i can go through yet another miscarriage (last one was Feb 2008). i pretty much knew even before my period was late, took a test, came back very faintly positive - that was about 24/25 May. took another test 7June PM and 8June AM and they both came back nice and positive. took yet another one 10June and holy **** it came back positive faster than the control strip. i had a blood test 10June as well and that came back +, so im going again today for another hCG reading to see it (hopefully) go up. so i'm really paranoid and just want this little baby to grow. im 6w1d right now - due in February if all turns out well... so please... if you could keep your fingers/toes/eyes/whatever crossed, i'd appreciate it. thanks!! UPDATE 6/12 505pm tests dont look good. hCG is really low. this sucks. yet another update im going to chill out. i MAY be ok... deep breaths ... deeeeeeeeeeep breaths...... deeeeeeeeeeeeep breaths.......

  21. no one wants to be friends with me ... guess they know imabitch ... i was going to post just to post, maybe i'll do that later though.
  22. great job Faith! keep it up! you can do it!
  23. i know this may not be ideal, but what about a temp crib/bassinette (sp?) to put in your room until you find something idea. i know you arent due for a little bit, but maybe the stress of finding the perfect thing is what's preventing you from finding something? when we brought DD back from China, i put a portable crib (i think from babies r us) and it was perfect for us. small enough to put next to our bed and when we didnt need it anymore, we folded it up and threw it under our bed ... just in case we need it again. i dunno ... im rambling... im stuck in the toronto airport with a really cranky child. yay.
