I was banded two years ago , due to complications I had my band unfilled . I've had two fills since with everything going fine untill about 5 weeks ago I bent over and I got a severe Charlie horse in my abdomen right above my band. It made My stomach swollen for a 5or 6 hrs just above the band,,,, I looked all swollen like when u come home from surgery . This has happend 3 times in a about 6-weeks. Has anyone had this ???

I own my own company and I have yet to find an Insurence to cover me. They all say they will until we get to that "banded question "

I just opened up my own business , so I had to drop my Insurence. I can't seem to find an insurance company that will cover me now that I have had the surgery . I'm 9 months post op , has anyone else went through this?? Blue cross paid for the surgery but say I'm to big of a risk now that I have had it ????

They pulled it up on my Insurence claim file. They found it three wees after they agreed to give it to me.

Just changed jobs and I got turned down for life insurance because of my band. Has anyone gotten any recently ? Any suggestions on a company that will overlook ??? Thanks.

I am going throughnthe exact same thing ' I lost 30 lbs first three weeks Then I stalled and I actually think I have gained 6 lbs in the last two weeks , Glad to hear I'm not alone,,,,

when u guys say liquids, im limited to broth , Jello and Water.....he said i could go to protien shakes and Soup ( liquid soup , no solids) .... i guess my question is , is cottage cheese considard real food , soft food , thick liquid or clear liquid??? i have NEVER craved this before ......but for some reason 8 days post opp....theres nothing more i would like to do than dive into it....lol...

my docter in shreveport has a schedule set up for post band where you stay on liquids through five weeks but i have heard people on here start to try eating one week after surgery....just wondering if this my docters standard or if it is the standard everyone follows? thanks

im looking into getting banded....im having trouble finding docters . i have heard of a dr mckinney in tyler but i cant seem to find any info on him.....i guess im looking for some suggestions or just different docters in the area....thanks in advance for your input...
