I have been overweight since 1995. I am a divorced mother of four. I first started looking into the lap band procedure after many, many unsuccesful attempted diets, exercises, and weight loss drugs. My main motivation for losing weight is the fact that I am a divorced mother of 4 that has an absent father and I want to be around for my children in the future. My family has alot of history with diabetis, cholesterol and other heart problems, and I know that being overwieght can also impact the development of those diseases.
