First Fill and able to eat a lot
I had little to no restriction after my first fill..... I could eat bread, anything and just about how much I wanted. It was less than before but still a lot..... NOW with my 2nd fill that I've had for three weeks.... WOW! I won't even touch a pc of bread.... scared.... The restriction feels good..... I've lost 12 lbs in three weeks on my second fill..... Just hang in there.... Sometimes it even takes the third fill to have restriction.... IT WILL COME>>>> ENJOY BEING ABLE TO EAT WHILE YOU CAN>>> JUST DON'T EAT TOO MUCH>> I think it's all a process the 1st fill starts cutting you back to prepare for the next one.....

February 2007 bandsters!
I haven't posted in a while, haven't had much time. I'm doing well! I have lost 41 lbs..... I haven't weighed what I weigh now since like 1999. I'm so glad I did this! It's an adjustment and a big mental adjustment. The bands is helping me. I still have hills to overcome but at least it's not Mountians and I see getting somewhere. Everyone keep you head up, and if you get stumped figure out where your problem is and work on it.... like last week I saw myself eating too many sweets, resorting to easy food.... I've done better this week.....

I read a lot on here and I knew that was to be expected, but I can't wait to start getting fills. My first fill is Monday 3/5. I hope it helps! I'm not frustrated just ready to start loosing again.... Keep your head up and We'll look back to this date and realize it was just the beginning.

February 2007 bandsters!
TracyinKS-Glad you got a date, maybe someone will cancel and you'll get to move up. If not it'll be here for you know it. Hope everyone is doing great! I'm doing pretty good! My appetite is coming back with full force. I still have swelling/bloatness in my belly. Found out this is normal. I'm tired of liquids want FOOD! I have been surprised at the weight coming off though. I have lost 21lbs in three weeks. Wow, I made a record as far a my life weight loss. One time I lost 28 lbs in about 6 mths. I was able to sleep on my port side last night without any pain. I'm starting to try to walk 20-30 minutes everyday. Take care everyone and PM me if you have any questions. I haven't got alot of experience but I'm gaining it. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

February 2007 bandsters!
Thanks! Pam.... I thought each day would get better and I guess it is. What I'm having now isn't bad just bothersome and curious of what is going on.... I'm going to walk a lot after work and see if that helps.

February 2007 bandsters!
Okay, I have been doing fine! Not much pain just a little sore, but now I feel like a balloon that's going to pop. My stomach feels like I'm eight months pregnant. It started to swell Monday evening and hasn't went down yet. Has anyone else had this? If it's gas there isn't much pain. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon but will feel stupid if it's just gas build up. I have been taking gas-x daily. Anyone felt like this?

Swollen Tummy, bloating 5 days post/opt
Thanks! I had a call into the doctors office and they returned my call! I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon. This swelling sure doesn't seem right, but it seems like everything is flowing thru okay as far as BM and urine..... Thanks for the quick response!

February 2007 bandsters!
I don't really have much to hide, but sometimes I wish I wouldn't have told everyone. Really the only people I told was family and friends, but we live in a small town and it spread fast. Most people seem happy for me and want to know my experience. I'm sure there are some out there watching ever move just waiting on me to mess up..... but o'well..... That's life. I came back to work on Monday after having the surgery on Friday so I couldn't see myself hiding much there. I'm sure everyone could tell I was walking a little stiffer. Good luck to you and it's your choice.

February 2007 bandsters!
Hello all of my fellow Feb bandsters!... I'm four days out and still pretty sore around my port area. I haven't had pain med since my second day out so it's not that bad. I think I have gas/bloatness more today than any. The surgery date comes and it's goes and If you have searched this out enough you know your doing the right thing even though I'm always second guessing myself. I have lost 16 lbs as of this morning and don't have much of an appetite. Good Luck to all of you! See you on the other side. :clap2:

February 2007 bandsters!
I'm still fine. This morning I was stiff and it was hard to get out of the bed. The doctor perscibed me a patch to go on behind my ear for nausa and I guess it worked well! I've haven't felt sick at all. You get to keep in on for 3 days. I still haven't had much gas pains either.... Last night around midnight I felt a little bit of pain in my left shoulder so I got up and started walking and it went away. Good Luck to all of you.... and your surgery date will be here pretty soon!

February 2007 bandsters!
Hello everyone! I had my surgery this morning. I'm doing fine so far. Just feels like someone hit me hard in the stomach... Just Sore! I haven't had any gas pain yet... I hope they don't come later! Seems like I would have them by now. I had my surgery around 9:00 A.M. One advise I would give is not to wear a real nice shirt, because my incisions drained a little and got on my shirt in several places. I never really got that nervous. They kept me busy at the surgery center.... GOOD LUCK to all of you future bandsters. Genia

Curves Vs Gym
I joined curves in 2005 for a yr. I was faithful for 8 mths. I didn't loose much weight because I had a hard time dieting. I did loose inches and felt a lot better. My only thing is I signed a yr contract and after 8 mths I was BURNED out of the same old routine. I think I want to join back too, but just not sign a yr. contract. You have to pay more per month, but you can stop at anytime.

January Bandsters???
I found the K2O at wal-mart. At our Wal-Mart they have it in the pharmacy and in the drink aisle. I have tried all three lavers that I have seen and like them all.
