I received a lapband last April. I have lost some weight but haven't changed my eating patterns. I am going to schedule an appointment with a psychologist to get at the roots of why I am fighting with and not working with this tool. I suppose I wanted to believe in magic and by having the surgery, hoped the weight would melt off. There is nothing magical about losing weight. It is a commitment, like anything else worthwhile.
