Sandi, what made it possible for you to be more successful with weight loss strategies with the lapband than prior to the lapband? What keeps you from emotionally eating ?   2. Hi, I am 57, 5'2", weigh 187 and have been banded since last April (09). I am fighting this more than I ever thought I would. I am having a tough time giving up my love affair with food and could use someone who is kind, checks in once in awhile. I will be calling (again) to arrange for an appointment with a psychotherapist to help with the roots of the over/constant need to eat. I find myself breaking the "rules" and I cannot seem to discipline myself---same problems that got me into this overweight predicament to begin with. I am generally not a "needy" type person, but I am a little upset with myself. Thank you for your time. Judy:redface:
