  1. I know exactly what you mean. My year is up and I went in for just a weigh-in and was sent a bill for $115. I haven't addressed it with the doctor yet. I didn't even get a fill!!
  2. Hi, I am 10 days post-op. No more gas pain and feel pretty good. Still some soreness in port, which is sticking out. Doc said its suppose to go down. Since yesterday I don't have much restriction. I'm still eating mashed up stuff or I put it thru food prosessor.I am getting hungry in between meals, too. My first fill is April 5th and I'm afraid of gaining back what I've lost so far.
  3. Well, my surgery was 6 days ago and the surgeon nor the anesthesiologist had a problem with it. However, I have been bleeding like a full period, even though my last full menstrual cycle was 2 weeks prior to surgery.
  4. Melissa: I totally understand about not telling anyone about WLS. I've only told a few choice people, and that does not include my mother, either. She would not understand, as you put it, taking the "easy way out". She would just say "stop eating!" We are trying to arrange babysitting ourselves.
  5. I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old baby. My surgery is scheduled in 4 days. Even though they are both small, this is really the best time for me to have the surgery since I am still on maternity leave and I can recover before going back to work. We will use a babysitter for the first 3 days and my husband will be home with me the rest of the week. I want to be a good example to my kids and this will give me the chance to teach them better eating habits thru my example & I will be able to run & keep up with them.
  6. OOOO, Kalipso, thanks for the warning on that "double payment". Even though I was approved for $12K, turns out the anesthesiologist does not take care credit, so I payed them cash and I will only use $10K from CareCredit for the rest. @Finding me: I'm sorry you were denied. Is there something in your credit report that might have triggered it?
  7. Hi, I just had the Mirena put in but ob said its off by 2cm. She is hoping in "falls into place". I have to go back in 2 wks to have it checked, if its not in place I have to go thru it all over again. My lapband is scheduled for in 6 days. Should I be concerned?
  8. I,Too, used Care Credit. The entire online process took just a few minutes and I was approved for the entire amount I needed ($12k) at no interest if I pay in 18 months (which I plan to do). No fees either.
  9. I,too, am scheduled for March 9th @ 7:30 am. I'm in NJ and surgery will be done by Allied Surgical Group in Morristown. I am self-pay and the process is going very quickly. I had my consultaion on Monday, approved for financing yesterday, and had bloodwork done today. I'm excited. I wish you all the very best.
