  1. So I worked today so i would not have to be around food...guess what...lots of food! I tasted a bit of evrything almost...chewed and chewed, but this afternoon I took a bite of turkey i guess I did not chew very well and bot...did it hurt and feel funny! How uncomfortable,...I guess that is a s close to a PB as I have been and I don't want to go there again! I just felt so open today!!! So soon/!!!!
  2. You need to wait a few weeks before a fill 6-8.
  3. Yes, if I have eaten too much I do. It is my sign!
  4. I am A Dr. Of Naturology. I suggest acupuncture and chiropractic...but tell the chiro to use the activator, not manipulation. Also do very gentle yoga for the back . Natural antiinflammatories are tumeric and gionger...use them in your cooking.
  5. WELCOME BACK!!! HAve a Happy Thanksgiving... It will be still very nice...food is just a little aside....
  6. Dr. Aceves is awesome!!!!! He did a great job and his staff was great!!
  7. Hi Jacckye! Doing great surgery wise...it did however bring out my MS symptoms that I had managed to vanish for five years!!! I hope to get back to normal soon!! I will be starting on real mushies today... I will combine mushies with Protein drinks. I bought some baby food to take to work...appplesauce moslty. sugar free pudding, and mashed poattoes and seet potatoes to help ease me through Thnaksgiving. I am on Klonopin right no9w to help with my spasms so I am a bit sleepy and I work tomorrow!!! I hope I can do it! Glad you are well! I have lost 11 pounds!! For me that is awesome! I just have to incorporate all the supplements I was taking pre band so I can get back to my normal no symptom self.
  8. HAve you called the Doctor? Please do that first. Some people bruise easier than others. Also your liver might have been too big and they had to do alot of moving around. Sorry to hear that. Take care.
  9. make sure you do take Tylenol and Gas X. Also drink slowly and not cold things...warm helps. Laying on your left side with your head up on acouplke of pillows will help. Make sure you do walk, it does help. I hope you feel better soon.
  10. WOW! Losing all rthat weight...IU would not worry too much...don;t forget this time is to heal.
  11. Denise, I am sure you can increase the size of the protein shakes,,,they are thin an go through asily..will NOT stretch the pouch. Add extra protein to them to keep you full. Besides you shouls be getting at least 800 cals per day and at least 60 grams of protein per day, Good luck!
  12. MAke sure you are getting at least 60g of protein...that helps alot! No sugar and refined starches...they make you hungry. Hope that helps.
  13. Brooksie, Drink just little sips of water and move around so that it moves down. Walk a bit Drink warm drinks, not hot or cold. Warm tea...if you dip bread into warm tea you can see how esily it dissolves, so try that in sips and move. For now also take a bit of liquid tylenol. I hope you feel better soon!
  14. Vegge glad you are back and doing well! Do keep an eye on the incision. The pain will go away soon! Congratulations!:clap2: Kim, how awesome! I can only wish to get into size 18 jeans sometime in the future!!! That is awesome!! Keep it up! Iwish I could walk more, but I am having a bit of trouble relating to leg crampong and can only walk a bit at atime...I hope it goes away soon.
  15. Sorry about the pain...it was the bagel I have been trying to sneak in mushies. It's funny during my TOM which I am on I seem to be more open and with more appettite as usual. I think it might be closing a bit again...I hope...I am trying to drink a thick smootjie and it is not going down as easy as yesterday. I will be careful with the mishies as I am supposed to be on liquids one more week!:faint:
  16. Hi, I can relate to what you are saying. I think they will not do a lap band even outside of the states...sorry. What if she is on a totally monitores diet like Jenny Craig where her meals are all preprepared and eats ONLY that> You will have to keep ALL temptation away...all Cookies, etc, etc, and everyone in the family will have to not eat those things in fron t of her. All have to go out of the house. Hypnosis is also good in addition...and can also help her depression. Do not allow her any sugar at all it messes up everything! There are low carb/low sugar treats she can have on occassion...sugar also causes depression. Do a low carb diet mostly. Jenny Craig will let her have a few treats. Sometimes regimented diets wotk best. Ehen she is ikder naybe then if she needs one she can have the band. A personal trainer might also help in combination... There recently was a 12 yr old who did liposuction, but I do not recommend it....it can be dangerous. Good luck!
  17. YEAH!!!!!! Congratulatuons!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I also had a little one... ablouse I bought before surgery that didn't quite button, buttoned all the way today!
  18. is it until we feel full? 3oz? 6oz? :help: Thanks!
  19. Yum! PlAIN GREEK STYLE YOGURT WITH LEMON AND A BIT OF STEVIA TO SWEETEN...it is soooooo good!:clap2: Feels like you are cheating on cheesecake!
  20. Inner Me...Thank you for keeping this up!! You are awesome!!!!:clap2: :clap2:
  21. Good luck to everyone being banded this week!!!!!! You will all do great!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: remeber your GAsX and lip balm
  22. I was also told not to lift anything heavier than about 5lbs for 3 months. Or lift weights or do abdominal exercises. Walking and light arm weights for exercises are fine...the little ones! Also, due to infflamation you should have some restriction...I know i s till do have some and it has been since Nov, 7! I am just now getting down a few very mushy foods, but mostly still on anything I can drink through a straw. I do not feel real hunger because I am eating lots of Protein now,,,I add extra Protein powder to my shakes. smoothies and smoothie ice creams that I make. I also add protein to unsweetened yougurt and a bit of fruit and stevia to sweeten...yummy and good for you! If you can get the low fat greek style yogurt it feels like you are really sinning! I also have added a bit of powdered unsweetened cocoa powder to yougurt or smoothies and feel like I am sinning , but I am not! So now that I am at 60 grms of protein or a bit more...I feel good:clap2: Also, I am using a baby spoon to eat these things and it takes time and I feel satisfied. Anything too chunky I still cannot eat...and I am not supposed to... so hang in there you will do great!
  23. Anna MArie...is that you from Mexicali? This is Angela...let me know if it si you?
  24. Good luck on yor surgery! And of course i will help you with any problems as I am able to... I think a new way of eating will probably solve the headache factor...let's talk after your surgery. You will do GREAT!!!!!:clap2: We do need to post some pics soon...even if they are not that flattering...:nervous Let us know how things are after surgery!
  25. Thanks Karen! Hope you are feeling well...I wish also we could have met...in December we will!
