  1. I am SOO happy I ran into this thread! I am feeling the exact same way! I was banded feb. 9th and just went in last week to get another 1cc fill because I was feeling NO restriction and feeling like I can eat too much. I have really stuck to the high protein low cals. but not much is happening lately, even after my extra 1 cc. I myself was thinking the same thing, "was this just a waste of money" but Im SO happy to see all of the post that will say it will get better with more fills. Thank you for posting your concerns...it really made me feel tons better about the journey!!! Good luck to all of you!!
  2. one of the nurses from the surgeons office called me a week after and asked me all sorts of question to make sure I was doing everything I was supposed to and to check on me. I was a nice gesture and made me feel good that they check up on you! I thought it was pretty cool that the actual hospital called me 3 days in a row to check in on me too!
  3. I also have been drinking lots of powerade zero! I love it. I also drink lots of propel
  4. thank you all so much for the great advice. This site has been very helpful to me as I start in this new journey of life.
  5. Oh I totally understand that this is not a magic fix. I did plenty of research to understand this. I just figured that seeming I have had such a low calorie intake in the last week that I would see some results, and I do understand that my body is healing, I was just wondering if the same thing happens to everyone since I have never had this experience before. congrats on the 82 lb weight loss! How great that must feel! What type of exercise are you doing?
  6. Just wondering how much weight people lost in their first week post-op. I know my body is healing and what not but I havent lost a single pound since the day of my surgery. Is this normal? It is just hard to believe seeming Im on pure liquids. Any input would be great!
  7. I just had mine a week ago today. I know how nervous you are and the only thing I can tell you is that its not nearly as bad as you think it is going to be! Just remember all of the good things that will come out of this. I went back to work today and feel great! You will do fine and it all happens very fast. Good luck! I will be thinking of you!
  8. Im in for sure! Im also new (a week post-op) and would love to start with a challenge! Just let me know what I need to do because I am also new to this site!
  9. I was also banded on tues. I hate to rub it in but have 4 protein suppliments/day and 64 oz. of liquid (water, propel, powerade zero popsicles) and I havent felt the need to vomit yet. I started off just sipping because I was so scared and didnt know what to exspect but I drink quit a bit and havent felt sick. I actually am feeling great with the exception of terrible gas. I really hope things turn around for you and you start feeling better. Are you still on pain meds?
  10. I also was banded on tues. Im glad I read your post because I have had terrible gas pains today. Its good to know that this is normal!
