My lapband story is still in its infancy. I had my first doctor's appointment in February where they told me I would be a good candidate for the surgery. Then I found out that my insurance, BCBS of Oklahoma, required me to have a 6 month diet supervised by a nutritionist, which wasn't covered by the insurance.  I have completed that step! Yeah! It was a long 6 months! lol As far as I know, the only hurdle I have/had left is a psych evaluation which I just completed last week, insurance didn't cover that either. I have spent over $600.00 out of pocket for the requirements.  I am now waiting for the doctor's office to send it into my insurance to see if I have done everything correctly and if I get authorization!!! The suspense is killing me! lol
