  1. I am 3 days post op and I am experiencing horrible indigestion. No help with tums or milk of magnesia. I have been walking but nothing is helping. Any suggestions?
  2. Hi All! I'm scheduled to be banded on March 17th and I am son excited! Here's a lillte about my journey. Dec 2009 - Attended weight loss seminar - Referred by my Primary Care physician for bariatric surgery Jan 2010 - Initial consultation with surgeon - Nutrition consult - Cardiology evaulation (stress test) Feb 2010 - Psych evaulation - Surgery scheduled for March 17th - Preop with Surgeon Mar 10 - Began to eat everything in site and have gained almost 10 pounds since my surgery was scheduled. I understand this is called "Last Supper" Syndrome. Ha!Ha!Ha! My surgeon does not require a presurgery diet except for the day prior to surgery which is a liquid only. I am having my surgery in Atlanta, GA. My surgeron is Dr. John Daly. I am thrilled to be apart of the March Bandsters and I really look forward to sharing stories and hearing from all of you. Darlene
  3. Thanks for the welcome. As I said in an earlier post, I'm scheduled to be banded on March 17th. My surgeon does not require I be on a preop diet except for the day before which will be a clear liquid diet. So, I have been eating like crazy thinking this is my last chance to eat what I want. I've gained an additional 8 lbs in the last week! Should I be worried? Am I making a mistake? Someone help me.
  4. I am scheduled for surgery on March 17th. I'm excited but scared at the same time. My life will change forever, but I know it will be for the best.
  5. Hi, I am new to LapBandtalk and honestly, I am new to the whole "dicussion Forum" world, too. I, like many of you I'm sure, have been overweight all of my life. I have tried multiple weight loss modalities over the years and not one has been sustainable. So, I'm strongly considering the WLS route, specifically the Lap-band®. I have my initial consultation with my surgeon next week. I have mixed emotions about the LAP-BAND® and I'm not sure what to expect. I don't want my expections to be too high and I set myself up for failure or dissappointment. On the other hand, I feel I have to be optimistic because I feel this is my last hope for successful and sustainable weight loss. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks!
